They say that I should be outraged that a young black life has been taken; young black lives are taken every hour almost, so if people are a little desensitized about it, THAT"S why...

I don't know. Why are you doing that? I hear black people talk about it all the time on the radio, on the internet. Maybe you just don't see it because you aren't all that concerned about it.

Furthermore, why aren't we talking about white on white crime? Aren't white people killing each other too? What about Hispanic on Hispanic crime. Stop with the false narrative. Black people aren't the only race engaged in killing their own.

You brought up black on black crime, well according to the same study the stats you got were pulled from 86% of white people are killed by white people. There numbers are similar for all racial groups. The "Blacks don't care about black on black crime" narrative is BS. I was rather pessimistic on the man even being charged. It's likely he's going to try to run off. Considering no one knows where he is that should be pretty easy.

If he is tried he'll get off. This is a show for the angry mob and that's all. If he is convicted the people around here who support him will proclaim it's all lies and they on'y put him in jail to appease blacks. If he get's off the detractors say he got away with a racial motivated murder. World keeps spinning, life goes on.

Don't act like you give a #. The "tragedy" is a potential murderer getting away with it. Of those 94% how many killers were let go after a #ty investigation? Go google it and come back with the answer in a matter a fact way like you care.

"I felt scared of being killed" could be said by a 18 yr old with extreme paranoia, and be said by a 60 yr old completely reasonable, smart person. There is a lot of room there for abuse.

I don't know, I would think if there was some huge deal involving me going on I'd probably keep my ass where I could be found until I knew it was all settled. That's what most grown people do anyway.

How does that matter? Because it's not your average case he's exempted from responsible adult behavior? He could have stayed in the state. The police would have protected him.

Good questions.. The special PA has a history for aggressive prosecutions so this should be interesting. I still think when all of the evidence comes out Zimmerman is going to be cleared. Its entirely possible this exercise is a way to defuse tensions in the community (although if thats the case I have issues with that technique).

I am more interested in what charges are coming down the pipeline. That will give us an idea of just how strong the prosecutor thinks her case is based on the evidence.

Meh, this isn't really news. Tens of thousands of people die every day, and people are charged with crimes every day. The media loves a good controversy but the fact is it's irrelevant to everyone except a handful of people directly involved.

An example of an actual news story would be the 8.7 earthquake and tsunami warning. That should be getting all the headlines in the media, not "some unimportant guy was charged for killing some other unimportant guy over a month ago."

I did not say it was responsible behavior, I just said it isn't you average case.

Plus we don't know that the police don't know where he is.
