You say leave the poor guy alone. I disagree. I further disagree that you waited to do anything about the situation. You should have at least monitored him and followed him for the hell of it. I have worked closely with all types of arabic, Lebanese, yemeni, middle eastern people for seven years. One problem I have is when yemenis wipe their ass with their hand and they try to shake your hand, no seriously, I have had a lot of good times with people that you could label as terrorists just by looking at them. Although they will not admit it, they will if need be, betray America or any country for that matter for the cause of Islam just because they have to. I am of course speaking of the the middle aged or older individuals from their original countries as their offspring generally care nothing for their beliefs and only want to live life as Americans do. I will probably receive some negative feedback on this but too bad I lived with these people and their kin and know their attitudes. You cannot however prosecute someone on their beliefs or something they haven't got caught doing. If you are a muslim you will be anti-american, or anti-american culture, many could argue with that to futility but the mainstream will choose the anti policy and be quiet about it. And again will do what they are told to do if need be.

You have to undestand it's not so much the person living in the country who is the threat but the person who contacts him. The person sent over from say lebanon to do a "job" and is to meet up with Mohammed's son in law. He has to perform what the guy wants because if he doesn't he will be an outcast from his family. Any time the elders say something is going to be done and you are in their family you will obey or at least pretend to. That is the unfortunate situation you have here, which our government at the highest levels fails to understand and is why cells are able to move around so easily. They are just jumping from friends to family is all. The cells also are paid through various money laundering schemes that the FBI has failed to shut down. Simply becasue it's out of their jurisdiction if some idiot leaves the country or performs laundering for them under $5,000. It's just not traceable when sent via western union to fake names. Although the cash is little it is enough to fund their specific needs.

I would take anyone seriously who has said they want to meet with bin laden or any terrorist group for that matter. The person damn well is anti-american to say the least and condone's murder although they won't admit it they believe it.. Small case scenario you have a cowardly bastard who can't hurt a fly but will aid an operation by driving a person around, doing drops, etc...
