It all started somewhere in 2010. While buying groceries I bumbed into an old friend from when I was a teenager. It was a pleasant surprise because with him and some other friends we had a ball and consumed our first conscience enhancing herbal product.......but that is beside the point.

Eversince the number of people I meet from that period in my life is growing. Part to blame is facebook but still I consider it a bit weird and unexpected because I am not looking for them.

I am not completely on the 2012 bandwagon or fan of a biblical endtimes scenario but it makes me think.....whats up with this meeting and greeting of old friends all of a sudden.

Anybody else simular experiances or am I "seeing" things that are not there?

I believe you answered the question at hand already. With social networking sites like Facebook, you are constantly bombarded with information about the lives of old friends and acquaintances. So when you actually see someone in person, it stands out over online interactions.

Kind of hard to look at it the way I'm saying it, but it makes sense to me.

If it weren't for social networking sites, you probably wouldn't see the encounters as anomalies. At least, this is my opinion.

I know exactly what you mean.I don't know why but I've suddenly felt the need to listen to "In My Life" by The Beatles.

The exact kind of situation? No

Something similar? Yes

In the mid 80's, the early 90's and now the present day I've met 3 particular women. They all had the same hair color, looked a lot alike in their facial features, had pretty much the same build and the same personalities. Except for the one in the mid 90's. She was submissive to the point where it felt to me that she had a problem with it. I'm all for playing games and such but....... Anyway, the other two share similarities that are kind of spooky if I think about it too much.

They're both strong willed in their own right. Not dominant, but self-assured to the point where you can feel it. Their physical similarities are VERY much alike. On the outside at least. I haven't had the pleasures of the current one so I can't vouch for that angle. They were both business women. Business came first. The one in the mid 80's, I wont say what type of business, but she had a lot of money and she knew how to stay off the radar VERY well. The current one, she knows how to keep a low profile as well. Different reasons I'm sure, but the same M.O.

The SAME method of operation.

Even though I know how to keep certain things close to the vest, and there are many more that I have, there are reasons why I just look the current over for minutes at a time. I can imagine boots on her that come up nearly to the knees and..........Holy God. I'm transported back to the mid 80's. She knows the obvious reasons, but she doesn't know them all.

She takes me back in different points of time for different reasons. Kind of like meeting different friends after many years but having them rolled up in one mind blowing package.

Hope that answers your question.

Yeah it happened to me last year, ran into an old friend and ended up sleeping with his sister again. Will probably be a few years before I'm invited to anything by him again. Just remember, there is usually a good reason why you stopped talking to old friends in the first place.

Not always...sometimes, it's just a change of location that's to blame.

I think though, that there's something to be said for the idea of thinking about someone, or thinking about a certain time in your life, and then running into that someone, or running into someone from that time in your life. Kind of a thought begetting reality kind of a thing.

Like when you think of someone, and out of the blue you get a call from them, or an e-mail, etc.
