For those of you who know what a troubadore is, I am collecting examples of them and if you see one, let me know! They are not difficult to spot once you have a basic grasp of gematria or modern symbolism, but most people are oblivious to them.

No I mean the incorporation of hidden messages in modern media, the techniques vary, for example sometimes a truck will drive by in the back ground with numbers showing on it, or clips arranged in such a way that piecing them together makes a message. Advertising billboards in different shots put together to form a message, etc. They almost always happen in the background of a news piece or in still pictures arranged in such a way sot hat those in the know can glean further information. Your historical reference is a very limited definition of the word, to conceal messages, the messages themselves were hidden in music, minister and minstrel have the same root word... Am I the only on on ATS that knows about troubadores?

Wierdo, why would you waste your time typing a rebuttal to something you obviously have no knowlege of? The technique has been around since the earliest days of writing and art. In order to simplify the definition of troubadore for you, since you are obviously no scholar in this matter, it is sybolism, even allegory if you please. Is it so hard for you to believe that messages can be hidden in art and literature or pictures, or are you just flaming a post without having any clue what i am discussing?

Since the pyramids where buildt, have "wise men" hidden secrets in buildings, writings and art. If you can "read" the message there is a lot of places to look.
To day "hidden messages" is a part of the commercial advertisment.
The Grand Loge of Denmark show the secrets of the Craft Loge, The Stewert Loge and the Illuminati ( Heigh Councill of the Chapter) on the outside of the building !!
But do you have eyes too read it???

On this pic you only se the front door : www.dendanskefrimurerorden.dk...
I'll try to find a better pic, of the building.
Here it is: www.ddfo.dk...

In the old days it was named: cryptology (cryptographi) and Francis Bacon was a master in hidden messages.

Thanks Angle, nice to see somebody knows what I am talking about. Thanks for posting the links as well, typical of freemasonry who incorporate alot of symbolism into their architecture. I am not a member of any masonic lodge, but I have devoted a great deal of research into their symbolism, they are true masters of their 'craft'. Thanks also for mentioning Sir Francis Bacon as well, many folks are not aware of this genre of communication and Bacon is a good example. Motzart was another master of this art.
Also to answer your question ealier nutroll, I have been acting for about eight years now and work mostly in independent film, I have also been on the "other side" of the camera working in editing and various on set work. So far I have done seven films and one commercial. All speaking parts and including four leading roles. I have also done some acting on stage. The arch just above the doorway is a 'hieroglyph' of the gateway to heaven, NuTroll, and note the lack of windows towards the corners as well and your right about the rosicrucian cross.

If you have a e-mail adress i will send you a fun one.

And to you - NuTroll - I know it is a hard one. But you have to have eyes to see with ( sorry - i ment no harm) You must remember that the house is a part of the Swedich system and the symbolism too.
Only a heig degree Mason can read it. ( or if you have made a research in the symbolism)

Yaer - you are rigth, it is a giant house: the space inside is as 250; 2 room appartments
There is 9 floors! Here come about 3-5000 masons per week.
There is about 3 loges at woork a day.

O - no The cross is NOT a Templar Knigth cross - but the Tempel cross

I just google it, and there is a lot of it on the web, but under a more modern name - Subliminale messages

The sekt of Jehova Witness use it in books and papers

see : www.sekter.org...

It is also used for self hypnoces or mind-programming

no harm taken lol . i dont pretend to be a mason so i was try to look at it from a nuetral point of view, one that others on this board might try to interpret.

the symbol is on the front of the building, so its free game for speculation

You then, must be refering to "subliminal messages". I am sure you have gone to movies and seen the messages of food and drink at the concessions stand. this was a popular method of advertising in the 50s and 60s till people found the "hidden"(subliminal) messages. The practice is no longer practiced due to public outcry. Have not heard of any subliminal messages in any media lately. Now sex in advertising is not hidden and aimed at the largest segment of the population. Anything from cars to jeans to shaving cream, if a male, age 18-35 can buy it, then it will have a scantily clad woman in the ad. Anyway, from what you said, this is what I thought you were talking about, twitchy. Anyway, let me know if this rings a bell with you.

Oh I don't know, circa 1200's?

The word is very old, the methods ancient. You are generalizing the term though by appyling to the word to symbolism in general, instead it relates specifically to the conveyence of message through words, numbers and music. Troubadore as a term, was not an often referred to (for obvious reasons) historically, hence it's scarcity, but note the similar root word in minister and minsterel (sp?), and that should clue you in as to it's definition. That is what i am talking about.

Where is the evidence for this usage, I've only ever heard it applied to mistrels, usually, in my understanding, ones that sang love songs?
