Again .. you do not know if that is accurate. This NBC story is a case in point.
What is true and what isn't? You do not know. WAIT for the police investigation to be completed.

WHAT are you talking about? I was VERY clear in stating that none of us know what is going on. NONE OF US. I was VERY clear in stating that for every 'fact' someone posts either for Zimmerman or for Martin, I can find just as many so called 'facts' that go against. I was VERY clear .. nothing in the media can be trusted and we need to wait for the official police reports. I gave good examples. The whole point of this thread is one of the examples. So ... I have no idea why you posted what you did.

Another interesting analysis of the very telling 911 tape. Unedited of course. Contrary to what the media and the blogosphere lynch mob have been saying, it would appear that Zimmerman did indeed stop his pursuit of Martin when told to do so by the 911 operator. It was not the hunt that we have been told to believe.

It's all in Zimmerman's voice and breathing. It's the evidence that is available and certainly raises doubt regarding Al Sharpton's version of the story.

Here is the point of evidence to ponder.

I have no idea where this assertion of fact could possibly have come from, but it is absolutely universal. Even now, pundits on every channel maintain that Zimmerman disobeyed a police order (though it wasn’t even an order) and continued chasing Martin. Zimmerman’s story from the beginning to police and to the media has been that he stopped following when the dispatcher told him to. There have been no witness statements to the contrary. For that matter, there are no witnesses claiming to have seen what happened before the physical altercation took place. But what does the 911 tape tell us?

Another key point in the phone call

There’s another reason to believe that Zimmerman stopped following Martin: After he gives the dispatcher his personal address, at 3:35, he says, “Oh crap, I don’t want to give that all out. I don’t know where this kid is,” meaning he is worried Martin might hear where he lives. If Zimmerman doesn’t even know where Martin is, would it even be possible for him to still be following Martin at this point? Would it even be possible for him to have continued following Martin after hanging up the phone — a full two minutes after he first got out of his car and a minute and a half after he fully stops breathing heavily — unless Martin came back and revealed himself?

So, now we have the distinct possibility that Martin may have in fact stopped himself and back tracked on Zimmerman. Hence the apparent physical altercation between the two.

Just information that needs to be presented to the Grand Jury!!

That last point in the article is very important. How did the idea that he pursued Martin after the dispatcher told him not to become a universally recognized, undisputed fact?? Good Question. Shall we chalk it up to Media manipulation as indicated by NBC's creative editing? Perhaps Al Sharpton's admitted skills for manipulating the media?

The silence is deafening. I guess the attackers are now waiting for the next contrived crisis to cross the headlines.

NBC should absolutely lose its license over this mess. Especially when considering the death threats aimed at Zimmerman and his family. NBC is clearly an instigator in this mess.

I agree to an extent. I think MSNBC and any other network that purposely edits in that manner should be held accountible for their actions. However my personal opinion is to move beyond the FCC / civil sanctions and add in some criminal charges as well.

The explosive nature of these incidents are bad enough. When media takes advantage of that in an effort to push an agenda, and those actions incite people to respond in a negative fashion, then they should be held accountible for that. This entire incident is proof of that.

The Civil rights leaders need to be taken to task for doing anything and everything except trying to clam people down, to protect the legal / judicial process and go from there.

Sharpton needs to decide what he wants to be, a civil rights leader or an anchor for MSNBC. His actions to date, as well as in other areas, has been an unmittigated disaster that has only caused more problems and sovled none.

There is a reason we use a term called due process and innocent until proven guilty. Throwing those principles out the window in order to satisfy public opinion thats based on misinformation will only make matters worse.

Its up to the people to keep the media and everyone else in line and to call them out when they pull stunts for ratings without thinking how those stunts play out outside the studio.

I still want to know why the media decided to cover this almost a month after the fact...

Since this is a conspiracy website has anyone else noticed that any time an issue about Obama's origions start to gain traction, something "major" occurs that diverts the media...

This incident should be used as a learning tool.
It has excellent examples of the do's and don'ts in these types of situaiton. It also placed the validity of the law into focus as well. When there is a law that allows an individual to be an aggressor, and that very same law allows a person to stand their ground, that then allows the aggressor to raise his level to deadly force if he / she feels their life is in imminent danger.......

I know im not the only person who sees that as a major flaw. This law can be so easily manipulated that it could, the way its written, protect a serial killer.

When it relies solely on an individuals statement and prevents an arrest if no evidence is present to suggest otherwise, there is a problem.

People should be more outraged that a law like that made it to the Govenors desk by way of the legislature who approved it. I wouldn't mind seeing if they could be held criminally for passing such a bad law that has resulted in a lot of deaths (im not refering to the justified ones, although the way the law is written I call some of those into question).

On Thursday, Sean Hannity and guest Brent Bozell played the NBC version of the 911 call and compared it with the unedited version. In the NBC segment, Zimmerman says: "This guy looks like he's up to no good. He looks black."

I have no idea if he's guilty or innocent, but what NBC did is inexcusable. Just an 'accident'?? I doubt it. But even if it was an 'accident' they should have to pay damages ...

Zimmerman should hire Gloria Allred. She would get an impressive settlement out of NBC.

The Al Sharpton rallies only makes it worse for MSNBC / NBC.
