"April Fool" threads to [HOAX], please!

As usual for this day, we are beginning to see outrageous claims being made in posts to "fool" people. Most of them are silly enough that only a fool would take them seriously. The problem is, they don't sound much different than some of the claims that people make here in earnest. The danger is that months from now, someone with poor critical thinking skills and little sense of humor, will cite one of these posts as a "fact," and use it to bolster their pet conspiracy theory. I would like to request that the Mods move these threads to [HOAX] as quickly as possible, without necessarily penalizing the pranksters. It's not that I don't have a sense of humor, but I really don't look forward to explaining that no-one is "covering up" the asteroid that crashed into Lake Huron today.

Yea true. We wouldn't want someone claiming that "Obama is a terrorist" or some other claim that would be funny to hear but would humiliate them.
