What if instead of the Soviet Union the American Empire fell? Will it have it's own 911?

What if instead of the Soviet Union America fell?

Here's a Scenario:

Due to a faltering economy that is similar to the Great Depression the American Empire crumbled in 1989. The Soviet Union became Unipolar because somehow it survived.

The question is will the Soviet Union have the same problems as the US is currently facing (911, a faltering economy, etc)

Will Radical Muslims wage jihad against the Soviet Union?

Will AntiMuslim Sentiment spread in the Soviet Union

Will they have a war in Iraq and Libya?

Also in BRIC instead of Russia will it be America this time?

They would go after the resources first.Then establish world supremacy with military force by strategic Isolation. Russians are not too reknown for subtlety.

Russians are generally nice people.

Muslims use predominately Russian made weapons/tanks/planes.

As to the Americans.....

They armed the Israelis, but did not restrict how the weapons would be used.

This is in direct contrast to how the UK dealt with Israelis when selling military equipment....The Brit's would not sell to the Israelis unless they had a written contract stating that military supplies would not be used on the occupants of the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Note- the Israelis broke this and the Brit's subsequently took back a bunch of troop carriers and other military equipment a few years ago.

The Arabs have been threatening revenge on the US of A for over thirty years because of their failure to monitor the use of military supplies/equipment sold to Israel. For over thirty years the Americans ignored these threats and continued selling weapons to the Israelis without any regard for the people they were being used against.

This is/was well known in the international community, but for some reason, Americans(the general public) were never told.

Had the USSR become the dominant economic power and decided to use this power to dictate economic conditions and spread the outlawing of religion, of course it would have faced some form of opposition from other nations, ideologies and cultures. Would the USSR, knowing that ideological enemies were about to attack, have done nothing to protect Russian lives?

Imagine! If Gorby had his henchmen come to take collective ownership of the City of London? Or howabout Mecca?

Still, makes all the wheeling and dealing, all the gun running, trafficking and money laundering, all the subterfuge and espionage and powerbrokering legit, don't it? Fighting for what you believe in; the Just Cause?

It's all really a fiction though isn't it?

chechnyan rebels would've been used as a political scapegoat for government legitimacy but nothing more then that i'd say.

9/11 could've been a similiar situation, simply baiting the terrorists with all the pieces of the puzzle till they could finally do it themselves, keeping them under surveillance but never interfering, giving them all kinds of clearances.
