Back again, Hello again. Here's a video as a gift to the community...

Hi ATS. I'm a former bronze level contributor, who's been just lurking for so long now I've lost my old account info.
Kinda miss the good talk, discussion, and debate, so here I am again.

As a coming home present, here is a video I took around February 21st-ish, of strange, harmonic like sounds coming from the sky in Chicago. Not exactly what you hear in a lot of the strange sound videos, though it WAS A VERY STRANGE SOUND! Coming from all areas at once and seemingly from the sky.

I compare the noise to the sound you get when rubbing the edge of a wine glass with a wet finger. That's the closest match I can use to describe it, but I took the footage with a HD camera with stereo mics, and you can hear it quite well.

What this does have in common with other videos I've seen is the pulsing, rhythmic nature to the sound, and the gradual tapering off of loudness towards the end.

With all the sounds heard worldwide, and still no real explanations, I invite all discussion and speculation as to what this could be.

Also, note all the birds singing! Sounds you usually do not hear until April. It seems we're about 2 months early with the weather this year. I first noticed strange weather in the area New Years Eve 2011, it was about 70 degrees all night.

It does sound like a movie soundtrack like when they are trying to create suspense. Sounds a little creepy to me.

No construction around in this video? Being in a big city I was thinking it could be machinery or something on the lake?

I haven't heard the sound since then, but have been on the lookout for sure!

The video is straight out of camera, unedited. I thought about editing my voice out, but decided against it as keeping it raw footage no one can say it's a hoax or something.

The sounds.... were not pleasant. You could feel the sound in your body, and it was pretty scary, and a little bit exciting actually. Having seen youtube videos with the sound since last year, I wondered if they were a hoax myself, because those noises are NOT a good sign. I actually kind of hoped it was a meme or something at first, but now having heard it there is no doubt. I posted this I guess so people will be informed, things won't take them by surprise. Nature is off kilter, and people should know.

There is an el line (elevated public transit train) close by, but I'm pretty familiar with the sounds it produces. Usually loud, jarring and sporadic noises. This noise had a PULSE to it, something I've noticed in other videos as well.

Definitely not normal.

You can hear the train wheels squeeking at 1:15, under the sound.

Do you need to change the batteries in your smoke alarm? I keep hearing that beep in the background. Also, its odd, I hear that same beep in other videos as well. I was watching a video yesterday and heard that same beep, it always scares my dog.
