I do recommend this game actually. It is a staplemark game to have. Constantly updating..tons of excellent mods, and multiplayer.

Actually, multiplayer rocks..I am of the opinion that if your not at least sharing the world with a couple friends, your doing it wrong (but avoid crappy public servers...horrible experience most of the time unless you know the people...otherwise, its just annoying chaos)

To those here talking about pirating the game...may something you work hard on be stolen by some jacktard.
Also, you will find most mods don't work on the pirated version, and you can't connect to people..basically, you got the crap barebones game verses the glory of what it can do...its 25 bucks and will give you literally years of entertainment.


Minecraft: Brilliant fun..only problem is when you play it for too long, you get burned out..its a play now and then type game, not a play at 12 hour increments for weeks on end..
Most important:
Find a point for your minecraft existance...

Make a full song out of noteblocks:


Build something specific and amazing:


Learn about the yogscast and their ongoing adventure (quite an amazing series):

(warning, very long series..but totally worth the watch)

I'm in my second year playing and couldn't begin to tell how many hours among the various worlds I've wasted.
it is my default goto whenever I get bored online. My kids bust on me because I play in peaceful mode. I just like building huge cities and laying tracks to connect them all. They love the mods, but the only one I'm still trying to get is the adventure time mod that makes the game look like the cartoon.

It really is an addicting game and it will consume your free time like a black hole on your lap.
DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME! You will miss those lost hours......enjoy!

Apparently the designer even stated "people that play free will buy the game"... Well thats a fact... its worth the money... and its not expensive.

Anyone that enjoys FPS games... and has a bit of creativity waiting for an outlet...

I'd suggest giving this game a try... its a lot of fun!!

I have looked at Minecraft myself a few times and thought about purchasing but wasn't sure if it would be worth the money. I definitely see a ton of people who love it! Does it require a subscription fee as well?

I sent you a U2U as my son has been asking for this game. I don't need another game to get addicted to atm, so I will try to resist checking it out myself.

My 3 yr old plays the trail on the xbox, he's mad for it.

I'm currently playing minecraft 360 vers.
I'm finding it fun but I don't really have anyone who plays in my world, i'd have to go into someone else's and start over again.

I never played on PC, kinda regretting it now and maybe one day i'll pick it up, but the 360 vers. is pretty fun.

I see on soem of those vids a difference or two, mainly you get meat from cows, 360 only pigs give meat and cows give leather (which is useless once you start making iron armor).

When were the enemies implemented?
They are so annoying, but I wouldn't play on friendly though.


I made a small house, which I then put a big fence around to stop the creepers blowing my walls down, if you want in my house you have to open a hatch drop down and climb back up infront of my door, which has a button then through my automatic door with floor pads.

I'm just extending it into the mountain behind.

I have also mined the crap outta that mountain and have made a minecart all the way to the bottom.


I have an almost endless hole nearby were I first went down, but after I made the minecart track I went through that route and made it so you'd have to dig you own path around my massive hole. (Don't fall).

This game is well worth the small outlay for it. It is highly addictive though

I used to play it when it first came out. Even made a thread about it. I loved it, and with all the new things and mods and stuff I know it's a ton more fun. I watch a bunch of series of it on YouTube. But my laptop can't run it smoothly unfortunately. Wish I could find a way to make it work.

Yeah. I had it running on my older laptop.

The thing is, I watch the videos of guys who make videos for a living, with high end computers and I want to play like they do. And it bothers me when I can't lol.

My boys, 9 and 6 would play this all day long if I let them. They also love these: apologies in advance for commercials but just be patient...f'k I hate all the commercials on ytube now...







Still trying to figure out how to do some cool stuff for them. There is a lot to learn on the game.

Alright, so just wrapped up playing for a few hours like I have been most nights. I've got a two story mostly wood house in a snow biome. It's got an indoor sugarcane farm. A big fenced in back yard, a boat dock. Chests filled with iron and gold. No diamonds yet. I just found a underground mine shaft though. Need to go back in there looking for chests. Only found one dungeon so far.
