Dragon Age I and II are both good games. No doubt about it. But they made such a strong impact with the first one, that the sequel left a heavy wake of disappointment in many gamers. I am still hoping for a third game in the series though. They can still redeem the series.

Hello, Gamers. I repair computers for a partial living, and my customers seem to always have a bunch of games downloaded that are causing trouble, all coming up on the start menu, and have of them are disabled shareware.

I am looking for links to download simple Windows games, no shareware, card games, little action games, puzzle games. I came onto a website once and was able to download a bunch of Windows games, and to script placed them in the Games Menu on the Start Menu. Anyone?

Boring? Well, I dunno. I'm playing it on the pc with a racing wheel, and let me tell you, it's the most intense edge of your seat racing I've ever played. I normally go for games like need for speed Shift or Gran Turismo, as the last new NFS games were crap.

This one though, is far from it. You are on the run from the mob who is trying to kill you, while taking part in a cross the US race for big bucks. You have various "objectives" for each race, and as you are traveling across the US you see a variety of locations. Some races are just make up so many minutes, others are pass so many other racers, or make it to a specific standing etc.

You will also have cops chasing you, setting up roadblocks, etc etc, including 1 race with a police chopper shooting at you. There is even a race up and down a mountain as it's avalanche all over the road.

Boring, it is not.

Yeah, that's not very impressive at all

But I can put together a gaming machine for even 1000 bucks ( board, chip, ram, graphics) that would blow anything in the console market out the water.

Even some of the lower end Business PC's of today can outperform a PS3 or a 360 in benchmark tests by adding a mid tier GPU like a 6970 series or something similar.

I'm looking forward to the steam box if anything. A console that is suspected of being able to play anything on the Steam Market, which would be a great step forward for gamers.

Especially if they were a modular build, so that you could upgrade your own parts or by upgrades from retailers. This would open up a huge, new market for gamers and developpers alike.

a 6970? Your giving counsels a bit more credit then they deserve. A 9800 is better then a counsel and you can run those in just about any pc (powersupply) and they are only 100.

Look at how large the video file is. If its from fraps then its probably multiple gb.

I did see that.

My only worry is how long is that tablet going to last in the open market before it needs a hardware upgrade?

And how do you go about doing one on a platform that is fully integrated? Without having to replace the entire platform, which would effectively make the current platform useless..

cousels?

I'm not familiar with that term.

I would never buy an Nvidia card. Ever.

Too many problems; not enough solutions. Overheating and bad clock cycles being my two biggest problems with Nvidia's platform.

The 6900 ATI series is still one othe best benchmarked GPU's on the market, the 6970 mind you is a bit on the up side of that series I'll admit, but even the 6950 outperforms the 9800 in benchmarks.

Battlefield 3 dominates Call of Duty 4. It's just like a real battlefield. I have both, and Battlefield is a notch higher. ~$heopleNation

I'm so stoked the ATS gamers are crawling out of the wood works.

I highly recommend the new Starwars MMO. It's ridiculously fun and addictive. I have heard it compared to WoW but with droids, and that's just not a fair comparison. It blows WoW out of the water completely. The animation style is really cool too, kind of Lucas cartoony. If your an rpg geek like me you'll find the leveling and skill trees to your liking because you can get very detailed with character skills.

Right now I've also got a level 51 wood elf on Skyrim. I just got the amulet of Mara and am thinking about getting hitched.. I dunno though, video game marriage is a huge commitment. Nearly wrecked me in Fable 2 .

I haven't played the new Battlefield and am reaping hell for it. I'm going to game design school and Battlefield is much more popular that Modern Warfare 3, which I play almost daily.

I think it was Tenth, who mentioned tablet games... Any way, whoever it was.... I have been using the first generation iPad for school instead of a laptop. Because of this ive downloaded about ninety tablet games so far and I've got to say, they are super fun! There's a game called Order and Chaos, which is basically WoW for an iPad... Very cool. There's also some first person shooters that are really fun. But the best has to be strategy games on the tablet. It's really satisfying to have command of troops or players, or what have you by touching where you want them to attack or make a movement. It's really the way all strategy games should be played. There's a version of command and conquer that I have, unlicensed but similar to it, and it's the most fun I've had playing an RTS.

And I hate to say it, but Warcraft is always fun, so that should find its way onto your new hard drive OP

That is a tragedy. Sorry to hear that. Gotta keep those fans clean or the video card will overheat. If you have any pets you gotta stay on top of it even more. ~$heopleNation
