This is a UFO...unidentified flying object.

Now is it a UFO of alien descent (non-human)...beats the hell outta me...?

Anyone have a program that can dissect this to its best means?

Edit: Think it might be a joke video after reading the YT description

I put this on your other thread and I'll put it here asell...

Let me make myself clear that I posted that video on the thread with the origional video because it was an obvious fake??

I dont know if you thought I posted it because I thought it was real? I made it pretty clear in the post I knew it was fake and even said at the bottom that I realised it was a joke about the original. Not sure what your point is tbh?

Wow looks disc shaped, impressive footage! I bet the person filming was not expecting that.

Yeah...the person filming (videotaping) was not expecting anything, would be my "guess".

However, when birds fly by, and then the video is mis-understood? Well then.....Off to YOUTUBE it goes!!!

Yay!!

Hello everyone! This is my first post on ATS. I've lurked for a decent bit now, and I hope that I can be a contributor to this community. As it turns out, this thread was the final straw, and I decided to create an account. I'm happy I did. (A post in 'Introductions' will come soon)

I'll start off with saying that I have no idea if this video is showing something alien. So far, without someone doing technical photo work, I think there's definitely something craft-like in the video. I do understand that the uploader might not be too credible, but I think the video looks pretty good.

has anyone attempted to scale the video and approximate speed?

I made my account because I began doing this.

Using Google Earth, I attempted to place myself in the same exact angle of the camera, facing the buildings/terrain. The following is what I got. (I apologize if the photo is too big to post. Link included)

Link to TinyPic - i40.tinypic.com...

The red square indicates the coordinates on the bottom middle of the pic.

I think I got the angle of the camera pretty well. I have a feeling I'm too high in altitude. I'm not sure if I'm taking camera zoom properly into account, and think that zoom might make getting an accurate angle more difficult.

As you can see, the altitude of the angle is at 3300 ft (per Eye alt in bottom right).

The height of Burnett Plaza (squared in yellow), which is the tallest building in Forth Worth, stands at 567 feet. So I'm figuring the object is something like 1000 - 2000 feet off the ground.

I believe the coordinates for where the perspective is from is 32°45'1.30"N 97°18'23.53"W. So from perspective to Burnett Plaza, is 1.61 miles.

I came up with these numbers by just trying to be intelligent with the way I chose my positioning. I could go into detail how. Using places to focus mouse movement on, using mouse in specific ways, etc.

I do believe the object is closer to the buildings than it is to the airplanes, making it at least 4250 feet away from the plane.

These next numbers are approaching full blown guesses (I figure within 1000 feet margin or error), and I think the object traveled 4111 feet in the video. Compare this distance to .75 seconds of flight time. (I think it was less than a second, but half sounds like too little? I don't have video software and what not).

Speed comes out to 3737 mph. I have absolutely no idea if this is a far fetched number. I don't know what something looks like going that fast. I don't know if a regular 2010+ camera can pick up so many frames of something going that fast (mentioned by someone at 22 frames).

I don't think these are birds. I think optical illusions are out of the question. I'd take CGI over birds. And if it's CGI, I so far think it's good CGI. The shadow on the bottom of it kinda sold me. Not to say that hoaxers aren't clever enough.

I'd take really fast drones as an answer, or any other cool American tech. If this is military, there exist reasons why it wouldn't have appeared anywhere else via this coincidental video. Like say the news, or reports by FAA/radiotower/otherthingsairplane.

Tl;dr - This thing is going 3737 mph at 1500 feet, based on what I'd call measurements within reason via the Google Earths.

P.S. S&F Woo!

FYI we are capable of building an aircraft that can exceed typical expectation speed and yes we do have them. Don't jump into UFO conclusions right away.

Why? It's clearly a Unidentified Flying Object... which is what a UFO is, unless you know exactly what it is...

I do not believe UFO means alien... nor does anyone else...

So yes, nice vid of a UFO

if secrets in plain site, chapter 8 is real, its only too obvious the top governments have the ability too travel at the speed of light,as this would have been scrutinized for years,it explains how too do it in the walls of the great pyramid,it even says,in 3000 year old writing,"for all nations too see/witness/take in/note",im not entirely sure the xact phrase, but it sounds really important...

Haven't you ever heard of the saying the camera catches more than the eye can see?

It is possible the person filming did not see anything at the time of and upon editing they saw a blur zip through the footage... non-identifiable so that would mean it IS a UFO...

How do we know that UFO's can't change shape into the form of any man-made craft / vehicle that we all have seen over the years?

If they are capable of extremely high speeds, cloaking, sharp turns at supersonic speeds, blah, blah, blah, why wouldn't they do that instead of taking the shape of a saucer, cigar, etc. They could go un-noticed, flying over and around military installations, nuclear reactors, nudist beaches, you name it.

Either they can't, they won't or are, as I believe, simply desensitizing us for the day they show themselves on mass in every city in every country of the world. And then like in Independence Day blast the crap out of everything.

But that doesn't make sense because why wait? Do it now !

So it goes back to desensitizing us for the big event in the hopefully near future....

Yea i understood you realized it was fake....just letting the others know it was a video i had made.

There was no point apart from that

I'm a physicist with a lifelong interest in potential ET-UFOs, I've had much experience working with others, in analyzing data, so here is what I learned:

For future reference, to determine with some certainty that a video does or does not show a potential ET-UFO, some investigation is required.

1. Do a little detective work and determine if indeed the person was at the place and the time.

2. Digital Forensics, if the video was taken with a digital camera, then there is a digital "chain of possession" you can track to determine IF the video has or has not been altered to show a UFO. Here is a good book on digital forensics:

www.amazon.com...

it will require coping the entire hard drive and investigating and tracking the video file from the first time the camera was connected to the computer or the file emailed via cell phone to the computer. Also, see if there are any video editing software on the computer, if there has ever been video editing software, see if the video uploaded to youtube was the video on the computer, etc. Now, once it is established that the video has not been altered then you can perform a physics analysis.

3. There are websites that keep real-time track of flights, for example:

flightaware.com...

There are many others, see if you can retrieve the data for the entire flight. It looks as if the plane was in the process of landing, so see if you can determine the height from the video, or simply analyze the camera data and look at the time stamp. From that you can look at the data determine how fast the airplane was going and how high.

4. Usually people may need to analyze the optical parameters of the camera at the time the video was taken, but in this case, you have it easy, because you could access the flight data you can pinpoint exactly where the airplane was when the video was taken, you could work backwards and determine how far away some of the buildings are, look up the dimensions online and thereby estimate how far away the object is.

5. Then you can use the speed of the plane to estimate how fast the object was moving, and possible flight path.

If the object is real, it doesn't really show the flight characteristics of potential ET-UFOs as exhibited in the best cases. So, it might be an ET-UFO, but we can't conclude that from the video - of course if the video is accurate.

People may try to reason that since ET-UFOs can take any shape and make themselves visible and invisible, then why don't they simply make themselves invisible all the time. Remember we know very little of these beings' culture and psychology, it is a very difficult task to understand and/or predict their motivations and behaviors. So they may have reasons for making themselves visible sometimes and not at others.

Not another one, YOU dont know the size of the object or how far from the camera it was so YOU cant work out its speed.
