I came across an unusual photo online, which raise a few questions.

The photos are by artist Charlie White and the series is called Understanding Joshua (2001). His intention with the series was to explore male self-image and self loathing, White used the Joshua puppet as a representation of human fragility. Charlie White directed the music video for the song Evil by the band Interpol in 2004. The severed alien head photo by White has been posted many times in the Aliens and UFOs forum on ATS. Yep, its just art - the artist has several photo books out packed with similar things. I remember leafing through one in Waterstone's in London once. It is nothing sinister or anything to worry about. Its just surreal art. There are lots of similar things out there - they make statements about our humanity and society I guess, but nothing to read too much into.

I had a feeling it might be on ATS somewhere but I was at a loss in terms of what search terms to use.
The "quality" of the image and the contrived nature of the scene did tend indicate it was a piece of art, but one can never be too sure, especially when you consider what passes for art in some American airports these days. Denver international for example...

Wow, that was strange...

That's an absolutely horrid photo. I like weird stuff but I don't like anything about that. But if forced I think I'd rather be friends with the freaky looking guy than any of the other three.
