It has moved. Before it was further, now it is closer. I posted all the years, can't be that difficult to see.

The spacecraft are rarely rolled 180º since it means the antenna is not aimed at Earth when it is done but it is occasionally done for special observations and for calibration.

Not my videos. I didn't make them. You would have to ask the person who made the video. I am not equipped to tell you.

The position of the fiber corresponds exactly to the roll angle of the spacecraft.

OK, we've seen the one at 2 O'Clock. How about one from 8 O'Clock? That is where it should be if the spacecraft does a 180 degree roll; with the denser part of the anomaly still distal to the Sun.

I don't know the design of the spacecraft but I believe that would only be true if the lens was on the same axis or fixed to the craft with no ability to move on its own. The craft could roll, but keep the lens in the same place so to say. Just a thought.

Wouldn't the fiber then always be in every picture forever unless it is removed? why does it only show sometimes?

Do you have a picture from COR2 that doesn't have the fiber in it?

Found you one, you have a valid question.

edit on 23-3-2012 by boncho because: (no reason given)

I was looking for info not giving it. I have not seen anyone mention this thing is always totaly forever in all pictures so i am wondering, is it?

Yes it has been in pictures since the launch.

This is from the same day. Do a search of 2011/08/08 on COR2 Here.

However, you raised a good point, there are some COR2 pictures if you look, that have the fiber in every other image. Not sure why this happens but it should be pointed out in the thread.

who hasn't noticed that? you probably would of too if you would take some time out from trying to prove everyone wrong, watch what we're asking you to watch, instead of just looking for a way to dismiss anything anyone brings up, sheeeeeesh, ever notice for some reason half the images are FULL resolution, then there are other periods of time where the quality goes to less then MY FIRST GAMEBOY? why does that happen?, and these new eruptions from the sun latly are much different then i've ever seen

and honestly i dont care if you think i'm a troll or anything

but if you think these look like a fiber and not a bowling ball, then you've got me Mind #$&@ed

i could roll that fiber, unless it was a curly fiber to begin with and the 3D effect is a illusion then still, i understand the "SHADOW" is on the wrong side, and thats the best argument i find that it could be a curly pub up there

Dont know if anyone else posted it. I call that a mark that has been there for years. Lense flaw, space dust, dont know. But I know it's been there. Its in the lense, and it's not a ufo.

Oh my god!! I just saw what the OP is talking about. I can't believe ya'll can't see it. It's like a huge rectangular craft on the right side of the sun. And in the center of the rectangular craft you can make out one of the occupants, sort of a curled up snake or thread-like creature.

See it? Rectangular...uh. Oh never mind. I'm so sorry. I couldn't help it. The christian devil made me do it.

Hey chief, I think you're missing a few ATSers in your rivals list.

Maybe quit bashing those trying to help the OP get to the bottom of it and get back to muttering in the corner for the rest of us to get off your lawn.

So you're saying it's more likely that the object is actually something in the camera rather than a sunsucking spaceship planet that follows the movement of the camera? Could be a fiber of truth in that.
