Military Possibly Mobilizing for Martial Law starting TODAY?

So in light of the new obama signed executive order of 'peacetime martial law' that I'm sure most, if not everyone has heard about

I find this message my friend sent to me today to be a little thought provoking. I say thought provoking because this message does not come out and say "mobilizing for martial law", it just shares similarities.

Anyways, my friend is in the military. He is not a high ranking official or even holding a top secret security clearance (hence the lack of details). We were using messaging because he lives on base a few states away, talking about this executive order that was signed, FEMA camps, and just martial law in general.

He said today they issued an operation called "Operation Iron Shield". I asked him if he had any details on this particular operation and he said all he knows is the following:

1. the entire base is on lock-down
2. they are mobilizing troops to be mission ready in "essentially minutes"
3. they are threat con Charlie today(at the time of messaging)
4. they are going to threat con Delta at 8pm east coast time

I then asked if he knew the purpose of mobilization?
He said all he was told was that it was an operation that is suppose to "secure our nation".

Now whether or not this is preparation for martial law is pure speculation on my part, just because it seems to hold similarities, he agreed on that as well. It could be a preparation for something else though, such as war or a major disaster?? Of course i asked him to keep me updated as well.

So I'd like to now ask my fellow ATSers on their judgement, opinions, and speculation as well with the given information, as to what they may be preparing for?

Could be preparation for an Iranian strike - the government realizes that the Iranians have agents in America that will strike in retaliation.

Or, it could be a drill to go in concert with operations that we will never know exist. Lock down on military bases is a common enough occurrence and can often be related to particular missions, and considering we are already at war in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Syrian issue, the intelligence forces in Libya, etc... it's not hard to think it might be related to any of those.

Well, isn't the big HAARP quake scheduled for tomorrow? Or was that supposed to happen today, don't remember...
I should stock up on, um, you know, "supplies".

Im wondering if this has anything to do with the strange sounds around the country... It looks like a natural disaster prep to me.

Yeah I found that too when i searched for it but he said they sure as hell arent playing paintball lmao.
I couldnt actually find any article that was speaking this paticular 2012 date, maybe after a few days something might come up, if not its obviously top secret and wont be released to the public.

And also if it were this there wouldn't be mobilization happening, and not on the pretext of being "mission ready within minutes", of course, i could be wrong. Ill contact him tomorrow and ask if he is playing paintball, if so, ill let you all know lol.

Those strange sounds could be underground mega-heating from the bounced HAARP waves.
They could be trying to link up with the earth's heartbeat and then kinda give it a "heart attack".
THis would most likely trigger about sixteen separate 11.5 earthquakes. That would be bad.

The Australian Armed Forces had an operation of the same name. (Google) Excuse my ignorance but do the militaries of the world duplicate op names? I honestly have no clue.

The problem I have with what your buddy said is that the US military does not officially use "threatcon" anymore and even if they did, you wouldn't be able to plan ahead to GO INTO threatcon Delta.

Yeah that is the second thing i thought of as well, although, i live in Ohio and i have not personally heard these strange sounds or rumblings as of yet.

Just throwing out my observation... Today the sprayed all day the sky was riddled with "chemtrails" were i live (nothern midwest). Regardless if chemtrails exist or not, just an obvservations of the skies here. Could play a roll in the grand skeem of things.

As far as I know it is just a standard military exercise. I spoke with my sister who is in Norfolk about it today. She was complaining about her husband having to be gone all night again. He is a Tomahawk specialist and a Cheif Petty Officer in the Navy. There are military drills all the time, even threat level delta ones. I think these days more people hear about them than before which leads to the questioning of them. But, who knows, they know war is on the horizon and they want to be prepared. I mean C'mon this is America, when are we not planning a war.

When I was in the Corps we would do drills and exercises like that quite often. Not as large scale but readiness drills are commonplace.

I'm not sure but if two Prime ministers can give the exact same speech then I can't see why not.

I live near Fort Carson and they been blasting off fireworks lately flares mortars all that good stuff (not unusual) I actually drove over to HWY-50 parked on the side of the road and watched and listened for a while.

It's not like this isn't common for them to do, I'm guessing they are enjoying the time change and the added training hour in a day but they have been more active the last couple weeks than in the last 6 months or so.

Well my friend is in the Navy, perhaps they still use threatcon? although he lives on a base that is shared with other branches of the military. maybe the navy runs things differently im not sure, all i know is what he told me. with no reason to lie or make up an entire operation scenario, i believe what he says lol

The funny thing is as I was reading this a chopper flew so low over my house it made the ground vibrate and I'm in the basement. It was so loud you would've thought I was outside.
