It seems to me that your aversion to sodomy is the main reason for your opposition to gay marriage rights. Would banning all sodomistic sexual acts as a term of marriage make you any more likely to support the gay marriage cause?

Many people oppose gay marriage because of they can't seem to grasp that marriage entails more than just sex acts. It's about mutual love, support and protection. A marriage based on true love and respect is a beautiful thing that should be shared with all, not hoarded and reserved only for those that meet your list of prerequisites.

Ironically, despite sodomy often being labeled as an exclusively gay thing, I'd say that there are more sodomistic sex acts performed by heterosexual couples than by gays.
