187/188 DAYS ? ---- WOW----Strong 7.9/8m long earthquake shakes Mexico City

funny thing is I have been paying attention to what was said about the 188/189 days and thought about it did my own research of my own non bias and it felt real good watching my roommate walk in tell me that ( two days before this quake i educated her on the theory this information could be as real as we can predict on basic science....) you all were right and i had to remind her ( my roommate) its that reason i chose to tell her about ATS. she was sold on the purpose of how if believable or not, us the people are the true investigators of our past present and future... im glad to be part of one awesome think tank... The fact is that we all put thought in this subject and good minds as well, im just down right impressed...

I didn't forget you Mcginty. Right now I'm seeing an almost perfect alignment it's a little off but this is five hours outside the quake.

I believe its not an exact science about earthquake predictions, however I believe that people aware enough could actually sense all types of things commonly found before and after quakes, just on sensory ability alone... but hey just one opinion... oh and the fact about the most common scent before during and after a earthquake is sulfur.... but that's just from a round about group survey from the usgs (unconfirmed).... have a good night all!

Third: Even with this huge quake happening right almost on the 188 day mark, there are STILL people choosing to close their eyes? You all ask for proof. 'Pics or it didn't happen!" "I want to see x, y, z prophecy come true!" "When it happens, I'll believe it."

Well poop. It happened. What ELSE do you all need? For stuff to personally happen to you?

The terrible curse of the 188 days has struck again! Everyone rush out and grab their survival gear, stockpile on supplies, start watching for planet BooBoo.....

....meanwhile, authorities report that, although inducing plenty amount of panic (I bet a lot of you can relate!), the earthquake has caused no major damage.

Damn. Well isn't THAT a let down!?!

I thought i would wait and see before I put any thought into the theory, and i will still wait a couple of days as i think it only mentions 8+ but it's very intriguing.

This is pretty wild.

this current one doesn't hit 188 until tomorrow... the next one comes around in september...

For those that are insisting on ignoring the 188 theory in claiming that earthquakes happen all the time.
Yes they do happen all the time, and there is a reason they do. Just as there must be a reason if a big earthquake happens every 188 days.

We can pick other earthly phenomena such as hurricanes or thunderstorms that happen all the time, but there is a period where the intensity and amount of them increases, because of now understood weather patterns.

If there is a pattern involved, then it should be studied and looked into, because it will explain, these earthquakes, not the ones that fall outside the speculative time frame, just as I have experienced thunderstorms in the middle of winter that do not fall into the typical time of the year.

Whether or not the 188 cycle has any bearing in reality, I do not know, but I am not a believer. But to say no significant damage had been reported is simply incorrect. The AP reports that over 800 homes have been damaged and another 60 have collapsed due to this quake, but no reports of deaths. That, to me, is still significant damage.

All I'm saying is, when prying about this 188 theory, you've all changed the variables and moved the goal posts to suit your own conclusions. Your only counting ones over 7.5 for instance, disregarding the likes of 7.4 7.3 7.2 etc.

Its already shown that dependent on the thickness of the plate, determines the damage caused by the Earth quake, among other circumstances, so you may not even be recording the most significant Earth quakes for one.

You are also completely disregarding that other 7.5 quakes or higher take place out side of this pattern, simply because they do go with the pattern...way to shrug that one off aye.

You've also added your own variable to the equation, which is give or take a few days, and if those aren't interesting enough...they're "leading up" to the actual event.

Considering how many Earth quakes happen anyway, you haven't predicated jack sh*t, I don't know how many times that people have got to be told, if you're looking for a pattern you will find one!! Just like the number 23!!

September what? Rosh Hashanna, the Feast of Trumpets, is Sept. 17-18. If it falls within those days, then it opens up a whole new can of worms.

I've shown that the 188 day cycle breaks down if you go beyond 2 years with data from USGS, date calculations, a 5 year sampling period (instead of 2) and the mathematic probability.

Scientifically, we can say that for now, this is coincidence, at best.

I don't believe there is a pattern.... yet. I encourage you all to do your research and come to your conclusions, but the historical records don't lie.
