I'm not sure if this belongs in this forum, please move if it needs to be.

I'm not sure what Michael Bay is trying to get at. It's kind of odd though for him to even mention anything like this. Is this part of global awareness of everything around us?

It might just be as simple as a joke. Who knows.

Yes, Bay talking about a movie project is simply him announcing to the world Alien Ninja Turtles exist and they are coming from another planet to invade Earth.

It's startling really.

I've already started making pizza for them.

I plan on joining their ranks.

Is this thread serious? I honestly can't tell.

I can tell you this though, movies are fun to watch.

Iam the proud owner of the turtles comic issue 1 and I hate what they did with the characters in the movies/cartoons it was pretty dark and not for kids really.
Oh did anyone try the RP? I had a character who was a teenage mutant ninja squirrel called nutty

It's just more uncreative filmmakers who don't give a crap about the source material. "Mutant" is part of their name as you note in your title. This is a terrible idea, although I don't even see why TMNT even needs to be live action.

One of my buddies was telling me about how the comic is nothing like the TMNT most of us know about, and how it was dark and kind of crazy. I haven't read/seen any of the originals, but I really want to! I'd rather watch/read the stories as the creators had intended.

It's gotta be real, just read about this on Yahoo News

Yahoo

This is a terrible idea. I grew up on TMNT but admittedly I didn't know it was a graphic novel first. I'll have to see if I can find them anywhere.

ETA: This should probably be moved to the Movies forum.

If ever there was a Hollywood director who would be absolutely useless in informing the world of anything substantial, it would be Michael Bay.

I'm hoping the turtles don't land in a spaceship, but more the goop they get covered in is from outer space.
That could work for a more mature movie about the Turtles.

If it plays out any other way i'll be dissapointed.

Knowing Bay, I'm sure the Turtles' ship will crash, in a big EXPLOSION!

Yay, we get to see Michael Bay destroy another beloved 80's toy franchise!

If one is going to make a movie about something that was already done, why do they feel it necessary to change it?

it's no longer the Ninja Turtles, it's 'Alien Turtles', if he didn't agree with the 'Mutant', he should never have decided to do a 'Ninja turtle' movie,

that proves, it's no longer about the Craft, it's about money,

don't get me started on Peter Jackson's altering of The Lord Of the rings Trilogy,
