We won the war. We achieved our objectives. Why are we still in Iraq?

How many? Two, three....out of how many over there? I fail to see why you even brought this up.

Perhaps you should try reading for context then. The OP stated that he betted not a single person in teh military wanted to be there. This is patently false.

There are also many who don't agree with what they're doing.

Then they should stop doing it.

I'd just like for everyone to read my signature
thank you very much
very relevant for this issue at the moment
to those of you in iraq, afghanistan, you're doing the right thing, you're saving lives, who cares what other people think?
When the day comes, you'll be able to look back on your life and reflect happily, knowing you made a difference. After all, what does personal comfort mean in this life? We live for 80-ish years and then die, whereas soldiers and charity workers, etc, do, when used properly, attempt to improve people's lives. Why affect only your own life when you can affect hundreds, thousands, millions
Most people are too ego-centric nowadays in my opinion.

Maybe you haven't heard? It's their job, and it's a criminal offense to go AWOL.
They have no choice. Haven't you seen the interviews with soldiers who disagree with the actions they're being forced to take? I sure have. In fact, there are whole organizations surrounding soldiers, vets, and military families who disagree.

Teresa Panepinto, the GI Rights Program Coordinator for the Central Committee for Conscientious Objectors (CCCO). She has been receiving an increasing number of calls from soldiers in Iraq as well as at home.

Not only that, but many republicans are also coming forward with their disapproval. Are you telling me this isn't true? They all really like being there, and all agree with the reasons behind the war?
