The Departments of Health and Human Services published a statement
Friday March 16, 2012.

The release mentions that women's health care
preventive services including contraceptives and sterilizations
will be without cost sharing.

And it looks like non-profit religious organizations may not be forced to
participate (including pay for) based on religious grounds.

Perhaps all the recent objections and some lawsuits have changed their minds ?

A final rule on governing student health plans was also released ...
Students gain the same consumer protections as employees of colleges and universities.

Official HHS News Release:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 16, 2012

Administration releases Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on preventive services policy

Officials at the Departments of Health and Human Services (HHS), Labor, and the Treasury today took the next step in the Obama administration’s effort to ensure women access to recommended preventive services while respecting religious liberty. The Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking issued today outlines draft proposals to implement the policy announced by President Barack Obama and HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius on Feb. 10, 2012. This policy will provide women with access to recommended preventive services including contraceptives without cost sharing, while ensuring that non-profit religious organizations are not forced to pay for, provide, or facilitate the provision of any contraceptive service they object to on religious grounds. The Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking issued today gives all Americans the chance to formally comment on ideas for implementing this policy.

Administration officials also released a final rule governing student health plans. Under the final rule, students will gain the same consumer protections other people with individual market insurance have, like a prohibition on lifetime limits and coverage of preventive services without cost sharing. In the same way that religious colleges and universities will not have to pay, arrange or refer for contraceptive coverage for their employees, they will not have to do so for their students who will get such coverage directly and separately from their insurer.

“The President’s policy respects religious liberty and makes free preventive services available to women,” said Secretary Sebelius. “Today’s announcement is the next step toward fulfilling that commitment.”

Today’s Federal Register advance notice concerning women’s preventive services calls for a 90-day public comment period. The departments will also hold listening sessions.

The advance notice of proposed rulemaking on women’s preventive services and the student health plan final rule is available in the Federal Register at

Well, Sebelius found a particularly attractive shade of lipstick to put on a pig this time, but it's still a pig and...frankly..so are some of the people involved in this at the levels of power it's coming from.

They just can't let go of BAD ideas...ever. Can they? NEVER can they just say..well, hell. That wasn't such a winner? and move on... No... They're like the ultimate spoiled little brat on the playground. No matter how many times the whining has to start and no matter how far outside logical reason the arguments and mental gymnastics must go...the brat will NEVER EVER stop until getting what they want in SOME form.

Eventually, the brat normally gets it just to shut them up and give everyone some peace. It's a Mercy thing.
(Or the brat gets beat to mush..which can be just as good sometimes
) Well, the EX-Gov of Kansas fits the brat part of if they pulled her sorry butt from the back rooms of central casting and she's got a boss who seems to take personal pleasure and amusement in how divided and combative the American Public can really be driven.

Fine then.. Let them screw like rabbits at our expense... There comes a point when even the best of us just don't care, if only for a short time...and will be just as happy to let some people rot in the swamp of their own vile behavior and all the terrible consequence that brings them. Have at it College kids.....go screw yourselves right out of a future, just don't ask for the welfare when your bunny years leave you with a herd of kids and distant memories left of the dreams a bright future once held.
