Fight zombies in an abandoned shopping mall - it's the ultimate zombie experience

A few months ago, I did a wee thread on a zombie boot camp. From the sam people that brought you that, now provides a zombie mall event.

This zombie experience is available for a limited period, as the venue is due for demolition. Please book you and your friends ASAP to avoid disappointment!

Prepare yourself for the three most horrifying words in the English language: Reading shopping centre.

Bone chilling stuff, I think you’ll agree. We've prepared a bespoke, abandoned shopping centre in Reading, sprinkled to the gills with maniacal ZOMBIES lusting for your tender brains.

We know you want to combat them until they cannot be combated anymore. And now you have the chance.

What happens on the day?

In this spectacular ‘full emersion’ experience, you’ll be briefed and armed by the Police Special Zombie Bashing Unit. They’ll fill you in on the full, unfolding, undead apocalypse that is going down in Reading town. An apocalypse that, for once, you didn’t cause, but will have to try and fix.

Then you’ll hit the spooky, deserted shopping mall, but you won’t be shopping for that lovely little Pashmina you saw in Littlewoods. Instead, you and your team will be depleting the zombie population with full Bronson-style perspicacity. Using state of the art special effects and large, blood-inducing props you’ll tackle a series of computer game like missions in a full-on 'run and gun' gore fest.

I wish like hell that I could do something like this.

I just though this'd be a nice break from all the politics. Who doesn't like bashing a zombie?

I think the excitement of being clueless in the first zombie wave would be a lot more enticing.

I don't want to have zombie training proper, when i'd much rather learn on the spot, hands on.

also I would never be one of those guys running around with a gun shooting everything that moves when stealth application is more effective for personal survival. kill one or 2 who straggle out of the main group and that's it.

I wouldn't be free roaming for anything other then finding other people or food/water anyways, and if I am, i'd be in like a ghillie suit or something crawling through the bush on the side of the main conflict.

Depends on the zombie. If they're the shuffling brain-eating type, then a nice sharp machete and I'm all casual.

The "28 Days Later" type?
I'm hiding.

Thanks for the reply.

So much of this "Zombie survival" unfortunately seems to be based entirely on movies.
What if, you´ve gotten a clean head-shot, blown the top of the zombies head off,
and the damned thing just kept on coming? What are you gonna do?

I am in. We should find an abandoned amusement park, or a ghost town or something.

Take out the knee joints. Physics and gravity will do the rest!

Might be some money in it.

I wonder about the expressions on the bankers faces if we showed up in suits and showed them our business/5-year plan?

My 14 year old daughter came home talking about doing this the other day, not sure if it was this one or another.

She said it was about £70 for the day. I'll ask her some more details about the one she wanted to go on.

I like the ones they have round the cities at night, look great fun.

CX.

really beez
like Kissbutinger said something to the effect that nothing brings people together like a common enemy
we need a common enemy that everyone can bash...

and zombies are a really good candidate for this position.

a star and flag for you
(see... it even brings you and me together on something we can agree on)

I've only seen this in the UK.

I think the US is sadly lacking in this arena.

Let us know if your daughter goes!

Oh don't worry, you'll get someone on here eventually who thinks the zombies are a metaphor for something and call us a bunch of haters.

Paintball guns, zombie make-up, and charge 100.00 a head.

You'd have people lining up just to be the zombies!

maybe set up a taxidermy operation on the side..

They aren't worth the cost of the ammo.

Save it for the zombies.
