In a way - we agree here.

An annoying pet peeve of mine is: "singular" Alien (I prefer off-planet being). People should look to earth first - - before looking elsewhere. Although we are all humanoid - - - we have many differences.

I also use the Rain Forest as an example. There are many things in the Rain Forest - - many people have interest in - - for many reasons. Some will respect the Rain Forest - some will not. Some will respect the tribes/people - - some will try to exploit them. Etc etc etc.

That is how I choose to view the vastness of beyond our own world. I believe the universe is VERY political - - and each solar system has its own Federation of Planets. And each Quadrant - - etc etc.

I honestly believe - - - a One World Federation is required - - before we can move beyond this planet.

But - - besides that - - it is the logical progression. Nothing stands still. Progression is inevitable.

The U.N. has limited power and has done a poor job. We need a one world government where laws would apply to every citizen of the world, and where a person living in Canada has the same rights as a mother living in the poorest country in Africa.
