Go ahead and write to Merriam Webster. It looks like they have to change the definition and how the entire world views the word, just because you fail to grasp a very simple concept.

It has nothing to do with the dictionary, it has everything to do with you not being able to accept that everyone with a brain has a belief, and you can't accept that you do.

You're no longer talking about reality when you say you don't.

Correction, I reject the idea that God does exist.

It doesn't change a thing, you still accept the idea that God doesn't exist.

Don't tell me you reject that as well.

See, you can't be an atheist, according to your definition.

Geez, your kind of denial is like that which is found on GLP

Yawn...this conversation is really getting tiresome.
You still have not convinced me, or anyone else of anything, so exactly what was your goal?

Sure, you are so entrenched in your false belief, that you won't accept anything else, even when it's been shown that you are wrong.

I'm just demonstrating how much irony there is in your OP. And showing that there is, in fact, no such thing as disbelief in a concept you've been exposed to.

The sky is blue, the Earth continues spinning, and I am still an atheist.

Good day.

Not according to your defintion. And you do have a belief, sorry!

I couldn't help but laugh at the fact that the meaning of words means nothing to you

A disbelief is not a belief.

That's like saying nothing is something.
How silly

Now there you go again, saying something is fact when you don't have anything to back up what you are saying. Tsk tsk.

I don't think you understand what you are talking about. I know you don't.

But regardless of what the dictionary says, you do have a belief, even is you reject the existence of God.

I never said something was nothing. I'm saying you don't have a complete disbelief, thus your definition of atheism doesn't cover you.

Comprende?

Well, you seem to have a disregard for the definition when presented to you, and then you go on to say

It has nothing to do with the dictionary

Seems very accurate to me that you just don't care about facts!

I don't think you understand what you are talking about. I know you don't.

LOL

But regardless of what the dictionary says, you do have a belief, even is you reject the existence of God.

Oh lawdy lawdy

The rejection of a belief is...wait for it...a disbelief.

I believe that I disbelieve theism. There you go!
Still an atheist since I reject theism!

You don't see that you don't fit into your definition. You've been living in a square hole your entire atheist life when you're actually round.

You only understand part of your definition.

It's like saying, "I'm a musician, because I am a person!"

musician-a person who makes music a profession, especially as a performer of music.

LOL

Yes, you don't.

Oh lawdy lawdy

The rejection of a belief is...wait for it...a disbelief.

But you claim at the same time that you have no belief regarding the exist of God, which is where the problem lays. And if your definition of atheism entails that you don't, then you can't be an atheist.

I believe that I disbelieve theism. There you go!
Still an atheist since I reject theism!

So after this whole time you're going to say that you do believe?

You were just yanking me the whole time weren't you?

Now you're going to have to work on your definition of atheism and figure out what you really are, in stead of living a lie.

Sigh....satron, you are thinking way too deeply into this.

Answer this simple question with yes or no.
Do I reject the claims of theism?

It's not a yes or no question because you're going to presume that is entails that you don't believe that God doesn't exist as well. I know because we have had a long discussion about this.

You reject the claims of theism, but you accept the claim that God doesn't exist. It's a belief based on the existence of God, AND YOU HAVE IT

Now...

athe·ism

2
a : a disbelief in the existence of deity

dis·be·lief
noun \ˌdis-bə-ˈlēf\
Definition of DISBELIEF

There you go.

I am an atheist.

Thus your belief about God's existence isn't a disbelief. So your definition of atheism doesn't work.

But you still hold the belief that God doesn't exist. You don't have a void of belief. That doesn't make sense to say.

No where does it say void of belief. Please read the definitions.
I am rejecting theistic claims as untrue.

I am an atheist, the polar opposite of theist.

Yes, but it doesn't presume that you don't have a belief regarding the nonexistence of God. You seem to lack an understanding of that.

Yes, I believe in my disbelief.

This does not really get you anywhere.
At least not where you're trying to go.

Yes, but you have been using that definition the whole time for your reason why you don't have a belief. And if you have been trolling the whole time about it, then what does that say about your opinion of GLP? Maybe you have one foot over there, because you like it!

God fits the exact definition of 'myth'

By your definition, anyone who doesn't believe in mythical tales....really actually believes in mythical tales?
What?

I hate GLP.
I am banned over there anyway, they randomly ban tons of IPs to get you to pay for a premium membership.

I take that as a childish insult.
I have been a member of this site for 9 years.

Yes it has, it has gone against everything you've said, which is, "I don't have a belief regarding the existence of God"

You clearly do, and now you can admit it.

For some reason?
