sick burn #sarcasm anyway, the fact that you respond with jokes or insults just speaks to my point. You can't tell me why Obama would win... you just make jokes.

Yes, jokes are appropriate.

Becuase what you are asking is like asking someone to explain to you why a major league baseball team would beat a little league team.

Or more accurately, asking how a gold medalist in the long jump could beat somone who was born with no legs in the long jump.

Seriously...Palin is border line mentally handicapped...so that is why jokes are appropriate when people like you ask silly questions.

That was exactly my point.

I realize it was a cheap shot, but it was just too damn hard to resist.

The problem is, he apparently missed the civil discussion I was having in this thread before I took the cheap shot. It wasn't a stick and run.... she's a fine lady.

What everyone needs to realize about Palin is that this is not a partisan issue, and it should never be a partisan issue. The problem with Palin isn't her opinions about abortion, the economy, education, etc... the problem is that she has no opinions of her own. She has been told what to say and what to believe, and she's not smart enough to consciously agree or disagree. So politics can't come into play when its questionable whether the "politician" in question could in fact spell politician.

Whenever this nice lady says something, just smile, nod, and pat her on the back.

Debates are stupid nowadays anyway. The American People should be allowed to ask questions ON THE SPOT pertaining to what WE want to know. Obama would lose without his teleprompter and rehearsed Catch Phrases.

I agree with you 100% on this. It really is the way it should be.

Maybe he would lose in a debate without his teleprompter... but not against Palin.

Without hers she'd probably just resort to reading crib notes off of the bottom of her shoe.

OK, IT'S OFFICIAL... intrepid Challenges Sarah Palin to a Debate: - Anytime : Anywhere: Any Topic. I reserve the right to use ONE ATS icon though. When she's asked a question and ignores it and continues on with irrelevant talking points, I get to whip out:

I have to say, I am no big fan of Sarah Palin, But I will say this, she seemed to connect with the average person and didn't seem to look down her nose at them like the average frat boy privileged Washington elites do. The contempt they showed for her was the same contempt they would have for the average American, who spends more time working paycheck to paycheck and just trying to survive than thinking about geopolitics. I dont think she was qualified to be vice president, but she was qualified to be respected as a human being, She wasnt.

I love how this guy keeps calling her 'Gov. Palin'

She gave up any right to be called that when she abandoned her elected post just so she could make millions of dollars on a news channel & book tour.

OP is as delusional as Palin herself is, if he thinks that the American people care what this dense woman says, or thinks that she could beat Obama in a debate.

Amen to all of the above.

The use of the word "Governor" next to her name is ridiculous and not proper use of the title by any stretch of the imagination. It's the Wonder Kids at FOX news trying to keep her sounding important.

Also, when referring to Fox News, the word "News" should really be put in quotes. That station is a propaganda platform for the right. They're in a bubble filled with their own created reality and lies. The really scary thing is when viewers don't seek any other source of information, and the misinformation they see is taken as fact. And the bubble gets bigger..

I desperately need to know what the average person looks like to you.
I do not know one person in real life that thought she was anything better than a joke. I guess I am not, nor do I know any average people? Who was she connecting with? All the voters she scared away from McCain? The people of Alaska that hate her? Who are these people?

This is a joke right???

I mean seriously... Palin wouldn't have a chance!

She doesn't even know where France is on a map let alone the Middle East.

She's a political actress and a fraud. Hockey mom my butt.

I don't care for the woman or her views, I am simply saying that she was able to connect with a segment of the population (albeit a small one) that the body politic has alienated in this country.I am sorry but in case you didnt notice, there are a lot of people who feel shafted by the government as of late. Her base is not a bunch of rocket scientists, Its probably the 23 percent that believes that dinosaurs are the work of the devil.I just observed that the people who hated her seem to really hate her and the ones who love her seem to really love her. I don't think she is necessarily and evil person, just a very misguided and ignorant one. I think there is a sentiment that most politicians have contempt for the common people, and she conveyed on some level, "look I am like you". The average person to me in this country works paycheck to paycheck, makes under 50k a year, has some religious belief system, and values. Most are not college educated, nor have they had the opportunity to be. Most are decent civil people who have a sense of right and wrong. She portrayed herself as a mother, religious, with values, who didn't feel the need to be politically correct. And that clicked with some people. I am NOT defending her, I am making an observation. The people I just described are largely non existent to the two parties. I am really convinced that if you make less than 200K neither party views you as even there, OK I will return the question, what does the average person look like to you?

OMG, please make this happen!!! The comedy value of that debate would be awesome, and resulting Colbert Reports a blast.

We all know how "well" SP handles debates.

The problem is, why on earth would the President of the United States meet with some random political cheer leader? She isn't even running for crying out loud.

She's just trying to create a bit of controversy around her marketing campaign

He already agreed to attack Gov. Sarah Palin with a political ad. Now it's - Game On! -

Obama will get blasted by Sarah in a debate.

She's not a governor anymore

You will never see a debate between Obummer and Palin and I 'll tell you why. First off, BHO has something to loose Sarah does not. Obummer will run like jack rabbit if he even smells her coming because he knows that in a duel of whits with her, he is unarmed. All she has to do is mention radical racist, illegal alien, and illuminati muppet and he is sunk like the Titanic! Palin does not even have to touch on his failures as a human being not to mention as a Potus. The biggest difference between the two is, one should be shot as a traitor and as far as I know Sarah Palin has never wiped her back side with the Constitution!

A good way for Palin to start a debate with (he who's name shall not be mentioned) is, show me your papers! Since he is so big on fascism. He's done right there because he hasn't the "brass" to prove himself. Before anyone regurgitates that B S about how he already has, NO HE HAS NOT. He should be made to prove himself NOW before he spends another night in D.C.

What did Sarah Palin have to write on her hand the last time she was in a major debate so she could remember to talk about again?

Ohhh...
