I'm turning 13 in a few months. One of my teachers would say her political views and how they were right. It got on my nerves sometimes she shouldn't be pushing her views onto the kids saying hers was right not anyone elses. Now i have a teacher that talks about politics during social studies but she doesn't push her views onto the kids. Personally I'm not a big fan of Bush or Kerry.

"May I have a link to this Political Test? " Sorry, don't remember! If I remember, I will post it.

About the COPPA act , I'm not about to follow any laws that limit my right to FREE speech, short of slander and libel. (besides my parents don't care.)

Things like that upset me.

Parents should watch their kids and what they do on the 'net. It's not the government's job to parent me. It's my parent's job. :shk:

Also, the govmt doesn't own the internet. It belongs to anyone who can afford internet access.

And another note, I'll be 14 in 2 months. So for now, I don't care. For my sister, she can make her own choice.

Is it reallly illeagal for me to be on this?

Nah I've been here since I was 13, been a mod and done alot here. Technicly COPPA is to protect young kids from sexual predators and illegal websites for them to view such as porn or ones that are violently explicit.

The more younger people denying ignorance the better.

cpr12r, i dont like bush or kerry either. its kinda like the trailer for avp. "Whoever wins, we lose." Kerry is too "for the trees"
, and bush is too " for big bussines"
. and they are both against GUNS!! That makes me sick.

Uh KT, Bush isnt "for big business"
He just is more free trade than Kerry.

When I called your teacher liberal earlier, I didn't mean that was the problem. It's that he's telling 6th graders what to believe for politics.

Hm.. sounds like this family has been throwing around the phrase "two evils" a bit often!

By the way, do the children in this family do the cooking as well?

I've made some really good recipes for chicken and I decided to share them with you. You guys will love them!

1. Chicken Parmesan:
Ingredients; chicken breasts, parmesan, spaghetti sauce, and angel hair or any other kind of pasta.
First take a plate and put parmesan all over it. Roll the chicken breasts in parmesan till fully covered. Second you put the chicken breasts on any kind of grill. I prefer the george foreman grill. Grill the chicken to your liking. Take out and put on a plate with pasta. Top with spag. sauce and/or basil. Bon appetite!

Merci Beaucoup! I love it, a libertarian 11-year old who knows how to make Chicken Parm, who believes that Bush and Cheney are both "two evils". If you're for real, please run for public office once you put on a few more years!

Shes right because the US does want to control the world,

But wrong in the sense she shouldnt be saying that to a class of student... especially not 11 year olds.

katied yes your teacher is right but to blame george bush or america for wanting to rule the world is wrong.
there is a whole lot of other countries involved in what is currently going on, australia, england just to name a few.
Now i would like you to consider this i live in australia and down here you hear alot of pepole say that we are becoming more like america every day.
I enjoy the lifestyle i have down here and if australia is like america it's a pretty good place to live.
I'm quite sure you enjoy the lifestyle you lead in america and just think if the whole world could the lifestyle both you and i enjoy what a great place it would be.
so just ask your teacher this if we did live in a world where we had one ruling body would it be that bad. you would get to keep the lifestyle you enjoy and alot of places that don't enjoy the freedom we do.

unhingedmullet's right,
also if america was trying to take over the world, dont you think we would have been ruling by now?

There is 1 thing i must add katieD the current situation in iraq is a sad one and i don't agree with any sort of voilence there are better ways to solve conflict.
But just look at this, we humans have no natural predators but ourselves, bacteria and a number of other nasty diseases. so in turn war unfortunatly is necessary, think about this.

There were over 100,000,000 pepole killed during the first and second world wars, not to mention how many other millions that have been killed in other conflicts around the world since.
now if you consider the worlds population doubles every 30 years imagine how many pepole would be in the world today, whith the cronic food, water and oil sortages that we having at the moment in many countries just think what it would be like today if all these pepole were not killed during these wars.
My point being katieD is that war is nothing more than a carefully organised human cull.

wow,
i never thought about it that way.
are you saying war is necessary?

anyways, you look deeper than the skin.

im glad somebody can do that.

sadly yes katieD pose these few questions to your teacher who so narrow mindedly told you george bush is trying to take over the world when it is actually the coalition.
you can learn a great deal on this site history, current events and a whole lot of other things i'm quite sure you are smart enough to figure out what is real and what is not. I had teachers try and force their personal veiws onto me when i was going to school only to find out later on in life that the claims my teachers were making were comleatly false and missleading.
if you are only 11 and smart enough to post a topic like this you have a bright future ahead
keep it up

NO, is not right and forget aobut the liberal thing.

I am a teacher and is not right for her to voice her personal views in front of you or the other students.

Explain what she said to your parents and let's see what they think about it.

exactly. no teacher has the right to voice duirng the school day. if you wanna talk politics with a teacher, find them after school

See, the problem with people these days is that they only look at the bad things about the candidates. The debates these days are longer "I'll do this for you", or "I'll do that for you". It's turned into "He did that to you, so don't vote for him. Instead, vote for someone who didn't do that to you!". That's another thing about Bush. He really does talk about the good things he's going to do, and less of the bad things that Kerry's done. I'm 17, and if I would be 18 by the time of the vote, I'd vote Bush. This isn't a political debate, I'm just expressing my views. Your teacher should not have said what she said. Aside from being completely stupid and ignorant, she's also pushing these opinions on a young and impressionable youth. You seem very smart for an 11 year old, if that's what you really are. Everyone does bad things, the question is whether or not the good things out-way the bad ones.
