How To Change Your Brake Pads

Please do your own oil change.......it's very simple....I've seen a few cars come to me from midas or jiffy lube and holy #, those kids f*** up!

As far as changing your breaks, it only takes 5 minutes. you just need a jack, clamp, tool to get your lugnuts off, and whatever side socket for the caliper.....

loosen lug nuts
take off tire
use C clamp from the front "plate" of the brake pad thats facing you (using the side you twist on that side) and the other side on the back of the caliper. Tighten up the clamp till you can't anymore, that means the piston on the caliper is pushed in
loosen the top bolt of caliper slightly, remove bottom bolt (most are around 10-12mm)
take off c clamp
raise caliper
remove old pads
slap in new pads, making sure they're secured in
slide down caliper, tighten bolts
put on tire,lug nuts
drop car to ground
tighten lug nuts

Sound like much, but it only takes 5 minutes

Yea and it'll save you from the highway robbery that those places charge. You can get fully synthetic and a good oil filter for about as much or even less than those places. Most of them put cheap crap in your car (non synthetic) and try to upscale you on things you don't need like coolant flushes and air filters. Somtimes you need it but not everytime youdo an oil change.
