Hobbit Pub told to change name

I could be wrong, but I think that the intellectual property rights for Tolkien's books are held by his money grubbing son. Whether or not the term "hobbit" pre-dates Tolkien as asserted by wikipedia, there is an easy way around this. just use the word "halfling." It worked for D&D, Magic The Gathering, Everquest, Warhammer and others.

It would seem that the news of the plight of the Hobbit in Southampton has gone global. According to our local radio station there was even a bit on it - as in an - 'in other news' item on a Russian news channel.

I find myself smiling and both surprised and unsurprised at the same time.

Also, he came from humble beginnings with cult classics such as "Bad Taste" and "Meet the Feebles" and it would be shameful if he didn't stand up against this kind of injustice.

Stephen Fry has actually tweeted with regards to this. So maybe next best thing.
