Who says you would have to grow food INSIDE the bank?
They have cars....and zombies don't seem to be interested in vegetables, so you wouldn't have to worry about protecting them from zombies...

My problem with the show is how the characters get zombie blood all over their faces (in their mouths im sure) as they kill the walkers. I would think digesting infected zombie blood would be worst than a simple bite.

I also can't believe how Glen(?) wouldn't put his stuff in Maggie's room (no pun intended). I mean....what the hell...If I were him and my universe consisted of flesh eating zombies I would be tagging that stuff left and right.

I think Glen just doesnt want to get emotionally attached to Maggie since "they" never know who will go next. I guess he really does like her, but is also just scared to lose her. They just lost Dale and they showed that Glen really suffers loosing him. They seemed to be quite close thru the series.

Also remember the scene in the Bar and what he said to Maggie when he returned.

- Why "hide" on a farm surrounded by open field? Sorry, but that's just stupid. ( I know all of the Gamers will start ranting about a long line of sight and so on, but considering the realism the shows claims to depict, a farm would not be the first choice of any professional thinking man trying to save and protect a group of survivors)

The best place to barricade yourself into would undeniably be a Bank vault. You would neither have to worry about zombies breaking in, nor would anyone have to guard the Vault during night time due to automatically opening and closing vault doors.

No offense, but that's the worst. logic. ever.

How would you get food or sanitation? Two days after being locked in a bank vault and everyone is dead. Vaults are, by design, meant to have one way in and one way out. If you get locked into a vault with the dead pounding on the door, you're f***ed.
The farm is ideal because it has well water, a play to grow crops, house cattle, and a goodly number of survivors and the barns can be used for post-raid stockpiling of goods. The line of sight means that you can see the dead coming from a long way off, leaving you time to escape. Zombies don't care about gardens or stocked goods; once you've left, they'll leave too, and you can eventually return to your "stuff" and all will be right again.

In a zombie scenario you NEVER want to barricade yourself in. Once you're surrounded, you're only as alive as the provisions in the house/bunker/bank vault allow. Zombies don't grow bored, they don't stop to eat or catch their breath. Once they know you're in there, they'll never stop until they waste away. Meanwhile their pounding and moaning has attracted dozens if not hundreds more to your location.
The best thing to do is leave and then come back once all is quiet again.

Glen just received the pocket watch from Herschel and now, I think, feels obligated or pressured to be "propper" and respectful in Herschel's home, to be a good example.

I was talking to someone the other day who has read the comics and he said the name, "The Walking Dead," isn't about the zombies, but the survivors. Since they're all already infected and the virus just kicks in when they 'die'. Kinda blew my mind. lol Not to mention the Dr. at the CDC said, "Nothing new..." when he took their blood test. He was hoping one of them would be virus-free.

I thought Robert Kirkman (the author) said that 'the Walking Dead' was a metaphor on these survivors trying to maintain a sense of humanity in a world where it could so easily disintegrate.

I see this more as Glen not wanting to disrespect Herschel. When he said not to moving into Maggie's room, he had not yet been given Herschel's blessing and, until tha point, Herschel seemed not very fond of his daughter being with Maggie

Thought about that but that doesn't explain the kid that Shane killed he snapped his neck and Daryl and Glenn found him.

Someway somehow they have all became infected Airborne or covering themselves in zombie blood all the time.

Who else is for getting rid of Olive Oil (Ricks Wife)? She is the usual reason behind any soap opera drama the show has.

I hate to say it but when she flipped the car I was like "Yessssss!"

I root more for the kid to die. That ignorant little brat needs to bite it.
What the hell kind of parent lets their kid go walking through the zombie apocalypse without any supervision anyhow? Seems that kid is always on his own, away from others, and getting into trouble.

It'll suck if they kill Maggie (Glen's gal). First, she's hot. Second, their relationship is one of the few glimmers of hope in the story.

I didn't see the most recent episode yet, but I think it's a mistake to kill Shane off. (yeah, I know it happened in the comic, but that's a different medium than TV)...

Sure he did! He gave Glen the family watch! What other green light does he need?

If you reread my post, I said "at that point" Herschel wasn't a big fan. Later in the episode (or was it the episode after that?) was when the watch was passed along.

That's the downside to watching it DVR'd, sometimes they run together, hehe...and I remember things out of sequence. Still though, he's got the greenlight, needs to bed down with Maggie...

Having now seen the episode I can't wait for the next one

Some people have got to die so I ask you all who will die in the next episode I reckon..

Carol (Unless she is to become Darly's love interest)
T-Dog (because he hasn't done anything for the show)
Hershel (But he will save the group before he dies)

And lots of zombies

I agree that herschel is a goner, along with several of his kids, including the suicidal one. (hot family for a bunch of backwards bumpkins by the way).

T-dog lives. As I said earlier, he had more of a presence in the first season and I think that, if they kill him off, it would leave them with too few core members in the group. Plus, they will look downright racist if they kill the only african american cast member. I know the rumor is the samuraii chick is going to be played by Tara from True Blood so they'd get their one african american character back but, still, they're already seeing comments about the lack of color, the token black guy who always dies etc. Killing T would push that to the forefront.

Carol dies. Not sure why I think this, other than she's a friggin downer. Always was.

Andrea lives. She's going to become the new moral compass that was Dale.

Rick's whole family lives. seeing carl get eaten would make my night.

Glen and Maggie live. Their relationship has room to grow and has been a very interesting sideline to the show

Daryl lives. He steals every scene he's in.

I hadn't seen the thing about the true bloods chick (I hope so she is hot
)
I hope hershal's family live because I want to see if they have the guts to follow the comic (their story)
Iam just glad we have Game of Thrones after the walking dead (So I have one tv show to watch)
Oh and your right Daryl is a badass and a great actor.

If if am correct . In the bar scene where Rick guns down the two "bad guys". He shoots the one behind the bar, center mast in the chest. turned & shot the fat guy two times, center mast. As the scene ends, Rick aims gun at fat guy fade to black and gunshot. They were then held up in the bar. Plenty of time for the two dispatched by Rick to zombie up. They did not.

Only the ones on farm, what they all have in-common. The water. Remember the walker in the well. Even the prisoner drank water. It's in ALL the water. It's water borne.

Tomorrow!

Last show of the season get ready to find out who lives and who dies!!

Don't think it was the water because they said they have several wells to get water from.

Rick did say they had to start using their knives both Rick and Shane both killed a zombie when they took that kid to that school.

Shane did cut his hand when he was stuck on that bus, and rick stabbed Shane with the knife he kills zombies with.

We don't really know how Shane killed that kid we assume he snapped his neck because that is what Daryl said no bites no scratches?

But his wrists were covered in blood Shane could have stabbed him?

*SPOILERS DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE LAST EPISODE*

OMG OMG

Guess we were wrong about who survives

Lori....what a bitch.
Oh and it isn't that chick from true blood playing Michone (can't remember her name)

Really surprised ole Hershall survived and Carol also (her and Daryl deffo getting it on)
Did you see that one zombie in the barn walking scene? kept on looking back to the barn (bet he got fired)
Like another poster said the two guys in the bar Rick killed didn't turn..plot hole.
Great episode and roll on season 3
