the faint sound of bells

I

there is this girl
all alone in the universe
for aeons
and suddenly senses the compelling power of a lover
she keeps missing the dates
because she constantly
sidesteps
to the ever louder
sounds of faint bells

While recieving acupuncture I was triggered and left my body. Once I had left my body, the only thing I could hear were celestial bells ringing. They were the bells of the universe. It was utterly amazing and I will never forget it.

Your poem was beatiful and it reminded me clearly of this experience.

the faint sound of bells

III

this third chapter is a bit a difficult chapter, so fasten your seatbelts and keep in mind – no matter what :: it will have a good outcome – no need to be frightened scared or sad

she turns into a side alley where the sound of bells seem to be strongest
she could see the sign at the turn that said one way only
she is fearless
she is spinning fast
it is raining
has been raining for days
rivers are flooded and creeks are up
the sun though is persistent and keeps sending light
through the dark clouds

and just as
against one of these rays
she sees a monster ahead
blocking the road
she hits aqua planning
racing around a bend
water splashing everywhere
the spin stops with roaring engines

there she sits in the middle of the puddle
saying
where’s my sword

up sh** creek
with no paddle
in a barb wire canoe
she sais looking at her blade
are you still not invincible !?

yes it is
out of glorious blinding light
her godmother had appeared
the invincible sword goddess

that was not your monster
you got all wet for playing with fire
that’s all
my god child
pull up your socks and get back in line
ready
and keep sparking up the stars

sweetest mother
i’m borne to worship you
always will i sing
i love you
i love you

after a few painful burns on fingers, arm, elbow, upper arm and the heart
nothing major (of course not!)
the roller coaster is now landing on solid ground

endless 10000 yrs went by

a thing fully known disappears

if it does not disappear
interest holds the focus

the sound of faint bells
mesmerising

and the child prays

your love
mother
is the love I know
there is only one like you

mother
love
your heart is my life

Reminds me of an old Japanese proverb:

"Hidden virtues ring like a soft bell."

Thank you, bestintentions. Your OP gave me a sense of serenity.

OK I listened, and nope did not hear no bells, nor were there any bells playing OP. You must be hearing things.

Or since I did not hear any then it must be that your making stuff up, or else I would of heard them.

I liked your little short story, especially the sword fighting part. Very thrilling even if you did not end up slaying a monster, but if anything it seems like its just a dirge for your mommy. Which is so cute.

Very cool nonsensical story, I think now I will go swing my sword around, sharpen my knives, and then go get some sleep and wake up in a different world. See you in a million years when I wake up.

But then again I have about as a hard time keeping track of time, as I have of hearing invisible bells, both of which I am pretty sure do not exist. So I guess I might miss all these dates and times that are never in sync or really existed to begin with.

But in any case a great bed time story.

dear galad

you might have missed the point

our girl does slay monsters by the dozens but not with the sword

a sword like hers would cut but herself

sleep tight

So basically you saying she sucks at sword fighting.
Who gave her a sword then if she don't know how to use it?

Well then bestintentions what is her secret weapon if it is not the sword?
Do tell as I am all ears.

A true monster I am afraid will take more then a sword or even a happy thought to slay it. And you know if you keep running in dangerous places caring a sword around, sooner or latter even you guardian angels wont be able to help you when you trip fall and end up cutting yourself, or worse you might fall on your own sword.

So I suppose you right, running around with swords can be just as dangerous if not more so then running around with scissors.

Plus you might be hearing things with these bells of yours, and you just might be a crazy person. But fortunately you came to the right place. ATS is chock full of people who hear many strange things which only they can hear.

But hey! If by chance the bells your hearing are cow bells, or better yet dinner bells. Then I can surely get behind those bells.
