This amounts to nothing. Residents of the US Virgin Islands (and Guam, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands) cannot vote in national elections.

At any rate the US Virgin Islands is solid Democrat. I don't believe they have ever elected a Republican to any political office in the territory or as the territory's non-voting US Congressional representative. Other US territories are more along the lines of a 'swing state'.

Why can't I post a link to the las vegas review journal?

Anyway, Ron Paul's people took the majority

Read:

Supporters of GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul on Saturday effectively took control of the Clark County Republican Party by winning election to 14 executive board positions, or two-thirds of the ruling body. The election came during the county GOP convention where Paul delegates dominated, winning as many as half of the 1,382 delegates nominated to the state convention May 2-4 in Sparks.

This is phase 2.

Here in Ireland there was a lot about republican nomination against Obi on national radio. I listen to it at work, and paid close attention to what was being said to figure out what bias they are going with.

Paul wasn't mention once. NOT ONCE. Such a clear and blatant example of controlled media.

Romney was mentioned most often, basically described as most plausible candidate. Gingrich was also mentioned. And of course Santorum, as catholic option.
But not Paul folks, like he doesn't exist.

What you say makes sense in theory. But it doesn't look like it will pan out that way as long as Ron Paul carries delegates.

THIS HAS BEEN THE WHOLE STRATEGY FROM THE BEGINNING. Don't let the media fool you into anything else. It has already taken place in states such as Iowa, Nevada and Minnesota. We just need to get to the convention and keep the delegate strategy. Hopefully enough sheeple in this country keep voting up Santorum and Gingrich in the beauty contests to even out the delegates so Romney cannot have the majority. Then the Paul camps comes in and takes delegates during the county conventions -> state conventions.

As usual, the media reports it as a win for Romney.

When Ron Paul loses the popular vote but wins the majority of delegates, he lost.

When Ron Paul wins the popular vote but loses the majority of delegates, he still lost.

So which is it lamestream media? Make up your minds.

Here is another article from somewhere in Alabama...

Ron Paul Wins Virgin Island Caucus, Mitt Romney Gets Most Delegates

Ron Paul got the most votes in the Republican Caucus in the Virgin Islands, but Mitt Romney walked away with more delegates. Why? The caucus system is a complicated one in the Virgin Islands. Romney received 7 delegates, to Ron Paul's 1. However, Paul received 112 votes, to Romney's 101.

It doesn't matter. Although I am a Ron Paul supporter and have been for a long time I also am realistic and know this run is over. I also feel he won't run again.

People in this country are not willing to make the sacrifices that would have to be made to get this country fixed.
The VAST majority of people are too lazy, self centered & dependent to give up the things in life and make the sacrifices that would have to be made to get back on track.

We will get the government we deserve until the end of our country.

It makes me want to puke knowing the kind of people that get elected in this country and that they are there because the people of this country are so lazy and whipped.

I am disgusted with the whole thing.

So quit dreaming about the man who will never win and just make some popcorn, sit back and watch the USA go down in flames.

If Paul can't get the republican nod he could still win as an independent.

He only needs 34% in a 3 way race.

It's how Ventura won Minnesota, he drew equally from both parties and did well with independents.

Don't waste your vote on a lesser evil, vote your heart.

We can still do this.

This is so important that it needed to be posted twice! I would like to remind those like Walton and Johnson who are so eager to get rid of Obama, that they preach to people it doesn't matter which one we elect, just get one in so we can get him out. Truth is, it very much does matter who we replace him with. I thought we couldn't get worse than bush, then came obama.... our liberty is at stake. We need Ron Paul, we don't need another puppet!

Well put. As this should be mentioned more often.

Am very happy to see the Virgin Islands as well as Clark County, NV results, as I am happy with my state county and surrounding that brought big favor. Keep working at it when it comes your time to vote, VOTE!

Ron Paul has never ruled out running as 3rd party. Seems to me that this might be the direction he is going, dealing with the intricacies of a rigged Republican race has only substantially increased his support. I wouldn't curl up in the corner just yet.

All I can say to your post is Amen. I totally agree with you. It's very unfortunate that I have a young child that has to grow up in this country that her ancestors have shed blood to help protect, only to watch it spiral out of control like a plane going down in flames. All we can do now is pray that God will spare us from those flames that those in power now will suffer from for eternity?
