I start with an excerpt from the Ra Material. I hope to show you a connection between our conditioned minds and how our attachment to the preconceptions we have about the universe limits our ability to interact with nearly anything, psychically.

One example which shows the close connection between UFOs and mental
metal-bending happened to us in July of 1977, after our book, Secrets of the
UFO, was published. We had been interviewed on a local program and a
woman in a nearby town had heard the broadcast and was very interested in
what we had to say since her son, a normal fourteen-year-old boy, had had a
UFO encounter. He had been awakened by a whistling sound, went to the
door, and saw a light so bright that it temporarily blinded him. Again, as is
often the case, it was the same night that people nearby also saw lights in
the sky. The woman wrote us a letter, and Don immediately called and
asked her permission to speak to her son. After questioning the young man
to Don’s satisfaction, Don asked him to take a piece of silverware and tell it
to bend without touching it in any firm or forceful way. The fourteen-yearold
picked up a fork, did as Don suggested, and the fork immediately bent
nearly double.
The boy was so startled that he would not come back to the phone...

The conscious mind is there to direct and play out the desires of the subconscious mind. However, we as conditioned human beings, have a tough time superseding the already-installed beliefs about what the world is, how it is governed, what we are capable of and what we are not capable of... or, what is so impossible it's not even worth thinking about. Those limited beliefs are stored in the subconscious mind, and they forever affect your perception and the reality you experience.

The Conscious Mind is the analytical mind. It is the rational mind. It is that part of our awareness that houses the Critical Factor that screens what enters into the Subconscious Mind. It deletes and distorts information received, generalizing it at best, and makes judgments often without precision or accuracy.

Even before you were born, the Subconscious has been programmed to give orders and control and to maintain all of your perceptions. "The Thinker of the Thought," as I have learned to call the Subconscious Mind, generates, stores, then distributes energy everywhere in the body. It responds with instinct and habit, is very, very L-A-Z-Y, hates to change and takes everything literally and personally. The Subconscious needs lots of repetition to create long-term change and it loves the familiarity of practice and rehearsal.

However, if something so unquestionable happens in front of you that defies all previously internalized beliefs and perceptions, such as a Close Encounter, it will shock your subconscious mind and the rules it's built upon. It will force it to accept that anything must be possible, and it will let go of the limited constructs it had been trained to hold on to up until that point.

Hence, when a great light temporary blinded the boy that night outside his door, the after-effects were that his subconscious mind could no longer deny by a lack of evidence, or by fear of social repercussion, that there's more to the world than what we are told. I believe that kind of evidence, in essence, "freed his mind," or perhaps, rebooted it, erasing his attachment to the limiting perceptions and the constructs of reality he knew, making him able to look at a spoon and bend it without force.

Honestly, I believe all of us would like something to shock our subconsciouses, to confirm our suspicions there's more to the world than Kony, American Idol, shopping malls, and rigged elections. I think you know deep inside this is what we're looking for when we come to this forum multiple times a day.

With enough luck, this thread will serve as another piece your mind needs to jog it out of the maze of illusions and preconceptions that ultimately govern, define, and limit our reality.

Remember, Neo puked when his subconscious mind was forced to accept its version of reality was not in alignment with the way things actually work in the true reality.

May our illusions be purged from us in the days to come.

Thank you for reading my first thread.

Excellent subject for a first thread.

Didn't Uri Geller have a ufo sighting as a wee lad? Then shortly after he helped his mum cheat at cards because he knew what her friends were holding in their hands. The metal bending came later.

Have you heard of psi parties? A collection of people interested in pk gather for a party and perform tricks, like bending forks stuck inside sealed jars etc . No pressure involved, just the similar interests, a relaxed atmosphere, and discussion of all things psi is supposed to make things happen.

My belief is that self doubt, disbelief, and low self esteem stops metal-bending and other magicks before they can happen. That's why sceptics like Randi would always beat the likes of Geller. Sour-faced sarcastic bastard raining on your parade, you'd never have the relaxed frame of mind to take him on. It's all mind games.
When you're really relaxed, confident, maybe euphoric, that's when things can happen.

I have some friends like Randi. I've always imagined standing up after bending a spoon and going HAAAH! But then they'd probably faint or puke on me. Even though they can be a nuisance, and even counter-productive to your cause, their kind of skepticism is what makes this site great. And, if we can't overcome them, how can we expect to overcome ourselves? lol

it's beer time for me too right now, so if anyone could find this horse documentary as mentioned above, I'd be much obliged to call you really, super awesome.

I've bent a house key, by accident.
I was going into the house with groceries, my boyfriend handed me his key, because I was in front of him, and only had one bag of groceries. I opened the door, handed him back the key, and he asked "what did you do?". He was holding the key up, and it was bent at a 90 degree angle. No breaks, just bent. It went in and out of the lock easily before I handed it back, but it wouldn't fit back in the lock after it bent. We couldn't even bend it back. He was more freaked out than I was, lol.
I don't know what happened, or why.

I had a nail bend in my hand before too, but I had it there for a while, looking for a place to hang a picture, so I might have been putting pressure on the nail, so it wasn't as weird.

here is something else interesting from it

The Clever Hans Effect has also been observed in drug sniffing dogs. A study at University of California Davis revealed that cues can be telegraphed by the handler to the dogs, resulting in false positives

This scene is from the ending of the movie The Men Who Stare at Goats. If you haven't seen it yet, do! This is a great example of what we can accomplish if we free ourselves from the limiting, twisted beliefs of the dark side. Be All you can be!
