I've already experienced it works. And it was a very big thing that happened. The only problem I have is that, the things that the elite do are of no interest to me. I'm not into selfish uses for this. But as far as holding positive thoughts, and seeing them vividly, and sending your emotions to them, and remaining much more neutral when you hear of any doom, or prediction, just see the good. See somethings for youself, but always see everyone waking up, safety for all, children in Africa, emerging from their earthship homes, with space crafts parked in their driveways.

Dream Big and Equal.

And give alot of gratitude for everything as if its here, and this or somehting better, and treat this as a prayer, a tool, and be Love.

And yes it works. We're much more limited here than our Greater Soul, and we're only slivers of ourselves, the conscious part.

Raising frequency, which is something that happens with polishing the dark squares up in ourselves, working on overcoming the karma and loving more, is the real way this works for its connecting more to yourself, your Source.

According to The Law of Attraction, it responds to your vibration (emotion) and NOT your thoughts alone. So if you are feeling needy and longing for something, you'll keep attracting more of it. If you want happiness, you need to let go of the neediness and feel happy now so that the universe can respond to you.

Positive power has it's benefits but let's get real here. Let's earn it.

Speaking completely on my own experiences, this is a SHAM. I want proof that your positive thoughts replicate the REAL world.

Not some "shot in the dark" existence. Not some, a broken clock is right twice a day stuff.

I disagree. I have about 25 years experience with manifestation, and boy, does it work. The thing is that most people don't do it right, thus never get the outcome they're looking for. There's a lot more to manifestation than "wanting" something. In fact, the "wanting" tends to keep the thing you're looking for away from you.

If you want to successfully manifest, you need to believe that you HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED and act accordingly. Plus, your thoughts, feelings, words and actions have to be in perfect alignment. Most people can't manifest what they want because they keep sending mixed messages. Either they don't really know what they want (even though they think they do), or they think one thing but feel or say another.

For example, if you want to manifest money to pay your bills, you have to delete phrases like "I can't afford that" or "I'm broke" from your vocabulary. Most people think they can just think of something and it will manifest; they don't get that it actually takes a bit of training and practice and that it is indeed work. Instead, they try it once -- and use all the wrong methods -- and then they give up saying, "See, I told you, it doesn't work." That way you won't get anywhere, ever.

And no, manifestation does not mean sitting on your ass and doing nothing -- another common misconception -- as there is an "action" part to it. You can ask me any question if you want -- I'll be happy to answer them.

There are wars because........
People keep joining the military !

What does manifestation have to do with wars? If you wanted to prevent wars, many, many people would have to come together and do a manifestation with the same intent in mind. Also, fighting AGAINST something never works. If you want peace, work FOR peace, not AGAINST war.

NLP has the same techniques.
You visualize an outcome, and focus on it heavily. This in turn focuses your mind on achieving that outcome, and as a result you tend to be proactive in obtaining it.
However, the limitations are endless.
"I have cancer. I'm going to not rely on medicine, and just 'wish' it away!" - FAIL.
Any desired outcome needs to be realistic and achievable.

Not true. There are so many spontaneous remissions that science can't explain, so doctors often assume that the diagnosis must have been wrong in the first place. Or look at the "placebo effect": every pharmaceutical company has to test their new drugs against placebos, and quite often -- actually more often than not -- the placebos win out. Which means people are getting better, sometimes dramatically better, on sugar pills.

There is nothing new or magical about 'the secret'.
It's about focus and positive thinking' - ie 'the power of positive thinking' - taught to sales people since the year dot.
And you have to be realistic about what you wish for. Wishing to shed 5 stone overnight won't work. Neither will hoping to inherit a fortune out of blue (especially when everyone you know is as poor as a church mouse
).
On the other hand you can put yourself in a positive frame of mind re your ability to keep up with the diet and exercise routine. You can put yourself in a positive frame of mind that gives you more chance of that promotion, more chance of your business doing well and esrning some big bucks.
You can be receptive to change and opportunity.
It doesn't work for lazy people who just want to sit on their backsides and have everything come to them.

Well all you have to do is look around. How often have you heard of stories where someone who came from nothing who set their goals from a very early age and becomes super successful? Or how about Jim Carey who wrote himself a multimillion dollar check way before he became successful? There are millions of story's like that, but you can never prove it. You could always chalk it up to luck, and that's why there will probably never be any proof. It's all about how you look at it tho, I like to think that there are some things that are magical like how you come to meet your wife or husband, and how you meet certain people in your life at just the right time. But that's just me tho, you can look at everything in life as either normal and very explainable, or you can look and see a very mysterious and mystical aspect to life.

I manifested my move to the US, my husband, my current house, my pets, money, you name it. Some of these things happened in quite wondrous ways, nothing easily explained away.

I think too, the Secret is more about getting what you need vs what you want. I was going on a huge month long trip quite a few years back (08) and only had about 500 dollars. My income tax wasn't to come for another month and I was leaving in 3 days. I tried the Secret, envisioning myself going with more money - the tax return came two days later.

I suppose when you really /need/ vs want, it happens. Could be awesome coincidence too of course. Any and everything is possible. Though it's never in bad taste to keep a positive outlook and think positive thoughts no matter what, secret or not. It's just better on the self all around xD

Good job, Sarra! Sometimes manifestation can look like a true miracle... and it is, in my book.

I don't believe in the book "the Secret". Besides, it is not so much a "secret" anymore anyway. If there were any validity to the book, then by now all those who purchased it surely by now would be on television promoting it and how "it changed my life"....... In my bookstore it would be on the “get rich quick” shelve, Aisle “F”.

But, just for fun, I am going to “see myself eating prime rib with asparagus in cream sauce and a nice glass of Merlot to go with it”.

I’ll let you know how that pans out.

Just "seeing" yourself doing that is not gonna cut it. You'll also have to put a considerable amount of feeling (= passion) into it, and you have to suspend disbelief because that's detrimental to any manifestation.

Well, I went and watched the movie "The Secret", as I am not in the US, and hadn't heard of it until recently.
As I said in the other thread (of opposing opinion) is that it was my sister who recently told me her and her husband read it and tried the methods described. Within a period of two months, they went from being poor, renting a room from a relative, and struggling badly, to having a home, and being financially comfortable. He had a coincidently type encounter with someone who gave him a good job, she suddenly got promoted. What was funny was they had been using gold bars in their visualizations meant to symbolize money..... and his new job is... melting down gold and making bars with it!

Though I hadn't read the book until now, I was already familiar with these principles. I have had a lifetime of spiritual searching and exploration. I know these principles work. I use them on a daily basis. I have the kind of life I want, and am continually creating it. At this point, it is very conscious, but I realize that even before I was doing so consciously, I was doing it unawares.

You are too, whether you are aware of how you do it or not.

That's not a test; they're just making fun of it. That said, I'm not a fan of The Secret because IMO, it's too focused on "me, me, me," greed and consumerism, a mindset that, methinks, we already have too much of here in America and the Western world. I'm currently writing a manifestation book that focuses on "sustainable manifestation," as I call it, to manifest the things you need and that make you happy, but not feeding the insatiable greed our society is trapped in.

Hope this helps you.

Conditioning yourself to keep up the diet and exercise routine sure is a great way to make it work for you. On the other hand, I lost 35 pounds in 3 months through visualization once -- with no exercise and no special diet. It does take work, though, work most people are too lazy to put into it.

For example, to lose weight, you have to train your subconscious -- starting with daily exercises to learn to love and accept yourself the way you are. Then you have to do daily visualizations where you see (and feel) yourself in a slimmer body, and you have to keep this work up for 21 uninterrupted days. Works like a charm, though, and your self-esteem will go through the roof.

That is a GREAT story!! Very illustrative of the sheer miraculous effects manifestation can have. I've had numerous of those experiences myself.

I know these principles work. I use them on a daily basis. I have the kind of life I want, and am continually creating it.

Couldn't agree with you more -- same here. I have exactly the life I want and keep creating.

At this point, it is very conscious, but I realize that even before I was doing so consciously, I was doing it unawares. You are too, whether you are aware of how you do it or not.

That's the thing, most people don't realize they're manifesting all the time... only if you don't do it consciously, the outcomes will be quite random and often not very pleasant.
