I think it would be more likely to be a Romney / Christie ticket than anything else.

RP will be Independent, like '08, but will not garner enough of the vote to matter.

As for GOP, who cares? Romney/Bush sounds likely.

If I am not mistaken, and I may be wrong...but Ron Paul did not run as an independant in '08. He ran as a republican. When he dropped out, he endorsed 4 candidates from other parties such as Chuck Baldwin.

Bush will be there to take the presidency in case Romney does not toe the line. The VP will assume the Presidency just as his father attempted with Reagan when Hinkley shot him. Fortunately, God saw fit for Reagan to live and Bush.s plan failed.

When President Reagan was shot, Mr. Bush did exactly as he was supposed to do. He stepped into the void left by the temporarily incapacitated President. He was the VP at the time, remember? The Secretary of State Alexander Haig was the one who was way out of line...with his little "I'm in charge..." statement. No, in point of fact he wasn't...it was Vice President George Bush.

Sorry. He did exactly as he was supposed to.
