I will try to make this as short as possible with an attempt to remember the whole dream, or just the important parts.

It was a very familiar place. It was a place that was a combination of almost every house, apartment, etc that I have known very well. The kitchen was my current kitchen in my house, the living room was my best friends living room, with a studio room that belonged at my other buddies place. It was all to familiar. Every room was different etc. I could feel the memories from these different rooms. It was all to surreal.

Everyone I knew was here at this place. It was a place we came to be protected. It was a very weird feeling of there's soemthing coming. We were also here to find out the meaning behind this astrological event that was so close to taking place. Which somehow before the 'guide' I will talk about soon told us what was about to take place, we all new something was about to happen. Their was this energy.

In this dream their was a 'guide'. He was an Indian at one point, a ball of light at another point, and then he was just a presence that we all came to except even though he was not their physically.

Anyway, In this dream we were all 'called' together. It was as if we were their as a team to somehow attempt to stop this phenomenon or learn about the wonders of nature, etc etc. We talked and argued about the outcome of the event which was layed in front of us with precise explanation. There was going to be darkness for about an hour as the sun sets (Night time). During this time the 'guide' was explaining that after this hour their will be sunlight again as if the Earth stopped rotating, then starting rotating again but in the opposite direction bringing a new unexpected day. The 'guide' was writing this down on a chalkboard now just as the sun started setting. When darkness came the 'guide' left us. Not fully. There was a weird sense of connection with him as we were all still talking about the roles we would take when this happened. I cannot remember correctly what the outcome was as this happened but I just remember we were all playing a role in helping us survive. There was a very eerie sound as the darkness came. It was eerie. The feeling was so strong. I was thinking rationally with what I thought was my awake state but I knew I was still dreaming.

Now I do have some very neat skills when it comes to dreaming and being able to control, dream, think, and feel within my dreams. The dream within a dream was one very trippy dream and very vivid. I can also remember most of my dreams to extreme detail. With these dreams their are also 'teacher's/guides' that kinda appear here and their depending on the subject of the dream.

Anyways, This was so real, I felt like I came away with some type of knowledge of some sort. I keep wondering about this dream though because I have seen a lot of people on here stating they are having these really crazy natural disaster dreams, etc. I have had a few that relate to nature and astronomical events and each one is just as crazy if not more crazy.

I would like to know if anyone else has had a connection in a dream with a 'guide' that was their to teach and protect?

Any other connection with a 'guide' I would still like to hear about it.

I had a teacher guide experience last night. Of interest and note the guide was quite specific in technique introduction and reasoning. There was a darkness theme and generating light in said darkness. Who knows perhaps something went out over the unified consciousness mesh Jung spoke of in his research.
The thing is when I awoke there was a physical manifestation directly related to the lesson content.
My Sifu told me before he passed that masters could visit those on the learning path in their dreams and that one could train in the lucid dream state.
I find the dream scape a fascinating playground one I explore nightly with vigor and curiosity.
Your experience was a good read.

Completely fascinating indeed!

When I was released from work last summer I became really broke. Go figure. I spent a lot of my time researching and studying different methods of dream states, meditation, etc. It really helped pass the time when I could not socially be a outgoing young college student. I slept a lot.

Over this time period of not working and being a 'bum' (the term my father likes to use) I became comepletely obsessed with sleeping/dreaming. I can still recall almost al the intense/non-intense dreams with almost 100% clarity to this day. It's awesome and it truly does make you wonder what the actual purpose for this is. Controlling a dream, thinking in a dream, realizing you are in a dream, and dreaming in a dream are one of the coolest things I have experienced in a spiritual way.

Learning to be lucid in dream state is not something everyone can do. Creating a tool kit which you can access in dream state regardless of lucidity requires meditation whilst in conscious state. For something that every living thing does we as a population know very little of this frontier of exploration. Lucid dreaming is a great opportunity to explore not only the mind but the universe.
