There is a lot of misinformation here on ATS (a byproduct of linear thinking me thinks). But, I always try to give member the benefit of the doubt and try to research information and share information I think they may not be aware of that may alter their opinion making process.

I've been corrected more than once, and presented information I previously was unaware of. Unfortunately a lot of member share information in a belittling way some days, but this is usually just a reflection of the mood they are in due to their life and current situation. No matter how rude their posts may be interpretted I give them a star for teaching me something new and thank them for correcting my mistake.

Wish people were kinder about it though, sometimes.

That's what children do or people in the wrong do in an argument. Instead of answering the question they attack. In this case the person you are arguing with disagrees with persecuting Muslims and racism like the KKK, but not being able to formulate an argument instead you attack America (an entire country of millions and millions of people) and act as if this guy (this single person) is responsible or supports everything to ever come out of the country.

Just because he is having a go at Iran doesn't mean that he 100% supports America, he might be the most anti-American out there you never know, you just generalised and made an assumption because he was being negative about Iran.

So could you please answer his question properly for us all? Or are you afraid that your view will loose you credibility because they are in fact anti - gay or sexist or anti - semitic? Because that's how you come across when you totally ignore the question. It reminds me of politicians who don't answer and just attack each other which is totally childish.

Again it's like what children do when one says 'HE did this' and the other one says 'well he did that' as if the fact that the first child did something wrong gives the other one the right to also do something wrong

Just because they have oil does not mean they have to use it for electricity. If they use nuclear power they can reduce their fuel prices and actually sell their oil and help their economy.

Selective reading much? THE_PROFESSIONAL's response was both mature and relative to the conversation.

He asked for verifiable proof from a credible source as to the member's slander against Iran and the Iranian people. He requested substantiated evidence to address the claims the other member had made. There was no question to answer because the question made certain inferences that were not true. He also countered with making the arguement that the same accusations made against Iran already were part of America's social experiences.

I don't think his response was childish. He simply stated he would answer the question if there was proof that the issues asked about in the question were in fact verifiable.

Ok why does Iran not deploy Solar panels, after all they are about 30-40% efficient now...no need for nuclear reactors...this would also kill or squash the impending attack by Israel/USA as well and prop up the regime.

I can tell you really want Iran to have Nuclear weapons for one of a couple reasons:

A: you hate Iran or Islam and know if they get Nuclear weapons we will bomb them
B: you hate western culture, so why not move to the middle east where I am stationed (I will personally look out for you)
C: you live in fantasy land

I fight literally for yours and mine western democracy and freedom, why don't you put your spine where your mouth is and come join a side...otherwise your words and comments are worthless and powerless...

# 2 Our asshat western politicians made the price of oil go up, we "sanctioned" our own oil supply, it needs to be bought somewhere else...those suppliers suddenly have higher demand so they charge more (thats basic capitalism supply and demand)

I disagree, I've heard this several times over the years and Afghanistan certainly does look the part for generous mineral deposits. As far as I know it's never been mined, although it does beg the question: why haven't they started mining it yet. Maybe it was a hoax, I can't really figure out a motive though...
