Add a way to see who has replied to specific posts

When reading a thread that has lots of pages, many people raise good and bad opinion/arguments/ideas.
So when trying to follow a specific persons opinion it can become difficult to read all replys that relate to the one idea.

So I was thinking it would be good to have some kind of list or link at the bottom of a post that shows all people that have replied to that post.

With only one thread allowed for topics, threads many pages long become very difficult too navigate.

That's not what the OP is after.
The OP wants to follow the replies to somebody else's post, and the dialogue that follows.
I can only suggest clicking on "posts in thread" for the people who make interesting replies.

Not everyone hits "reply" or "quote" when responding to a post...I dont.
Some people make a post with a response to another post and may just put @Kr0nZ....or copy and paste a portion of the post....

I just dont see how that would work...you would miss a LOT of responses...

If you are only curious to one person's response then on their mini profile chose "posts in thread"....
that will show you all of that person's posts in that thread.

Maybe im not understanding either....

My take on this was to isolate a mini-conversation within a thread.

Like i just clicked respond to greeneyedleo, and responded to what you said.
You might respond to me, but not until somewhere later in the thread.

The back and forth between two members sometimes can be very compelling, but hard to keep track of.

I suppose yuo could use the 'replies in post' for each member in alternating tabs though...

Yes this is exactly what I mean

I didnt know about the 'posts in thread' button, I'll use it more often now, but it would be nice to have a more integrated way to follow conversations

I know not every one hits reply, but alot of people do

If you're looking for a suggestion what I would ask for is when you click on a subscribed thread that you posted to you would be taken to your post. Or add a link in the subscribed threads to get you back to your last post in the thread. That way you could start where you left off. Rather than having to go through possibly 5 or 10 new pages to find your specific post. And you could check for replies to your post.

Just a thought.

well just making the headline of the thread in our subscription list a different color would solve this resent respons are at top of the list any way just make the post that are " replied to " a different color.

what do ya think?
