Thanks for the stars and flags....but nobody throw any light on this?
I have emailed a friend in the oil industry (engineer) who knows where in UK they are fraking....hope to hear back from him tonight

i had always had my hopes on scotland due geogrphical location and most towns hieght from sea level being safe!!

UK in general gets lots of Earthquakes but they are small note 2.8 and 2.1
I have felt a couple over the years in North Wales and Yorkshire for example others I have slept through only to be told later. However is this an increase in siesmic activity I wonder

Great news .... hopefully the shaking will break Scotland away from England and we can see some clear blue water between the the two ..... just in time for the coming referendum

As far as I know theres no oil and gas infrastructure on the west coast

PuterMan has come up with a line straight through the area to the EQ that happened over in Ireland a wee while ago...he's speculating the Great Glenn fault might have shiffted! (on EQ thread)

I am sure I saw a programme by the Scottish guy who presents the Coast programme on TV
Where he talks of this fault line which is visible so unless it is part under water that has moved then it would be visible on land it goes across

i seem to remember quite some time ago , reading that since the ice age that scotland was rising and that southern england was slowly sinking .

I worked with a couple of Scottish guys who said the same thing ie Scotland is rising and England sinking to which I replied "Oh then that means all the Scots will slide down hill into England"
