I'm surprised no one's brought up this new book.
It's about a world where everything about 9/11 is flipped. In this world, Christian fundamentalists attack the United Arab States by flying planes
into the Tigris and Euphrates World Trade Center towers in Baghdad. The UAS had America's role during WWII, they're friends with Israel, they have
TV shows that echo ours. Several years after the UAS declares its war on terror, some Arab Homeland Security agents find a newspaper that mentions
attacks made on America on 9/11 and they start to investigate.
I picked it up today and I'm only 50 pages in, but it's really interesting so far. I love reading about the similarities and differences between the
USA and the UAS. I don't have a real feel for the characters or plot yet, but the world is well drawn.
I have a feeling that once people start hearing about this book that it will make some people angry. Maybe they'll be rational and realize it's
fiction and it's not a sin to view things from another perspective.
Anyone else reading this?
