What the birthers are failing to do is track down the plane tickets Obama Sr and his wife purchased before they flew like bats out of hell days after Barack was born to Hawaii.

Surely there must be flight records they can check up on. That should be very easy to do.

I agree with all of the above but how does obama not fill the required criteria. I am puzzled. He was born in hawaii as evidenced by the certificate of live birth. Apparently that is what they call the birth certificate in hawaii.

Donald Trump played the birther card, lost and was humiliated. I can't believe some people still think his birth certificate is fake.

His parents were not born in the USA and that is what might becausing grief to some strict constitutionalists, especially those of the right movement. I would let it go as we have more important issues to worry about.

The problem is that Obama refuses to put this to rest by showing once and for all the birth certificate given at birth. Evidence suggests that the ones given to date are forgeries. Two problems present themselves. The first is the secrecy and the second is the timeline. Some have said that what the original birth certificate said was that he was born in Kenya and that his Hawaii certificate merely states that he was born to a US citizen (his mother), thus making him a national citizen.

Did you just ignore this entire thread to post that oh so witty comment? It doesn't matter where he was born. Under the law at the time his mother could have given birth on the Moon and he would still have birthright citizenship. Maybe you should take your blinders off and actually look at what the law says instead of believing every birther site with an agenda.

Maybe they are trying to cover-up the fact one of his parents is a foreigner or naturalised citizen? Even so it seems immaterial.

As a resident of Maricopa County I'm proud of Sheriff Joe for taking up this cause. Obama is a fake and shall be found as one.

I guess you would only be able to utilize this if Obama was required to give up his citizenship to be able to stay in Indonesia. One would have to see if he ever applied again. If he didn't it could explain why his SS# was from another state than from where he was born. Parents bought it off of the black market. Correct me if I am wrong about the SS#.

OK I think I found my own answer to this:

Indonesian law at the time also did not recognize dual citizenship, meaning if Obama became Indonesian, then as far as that country was concerned, his U.S. citizenship was no longer recognized by Indonesia. But U.S. law would still recognize Obama as an American citizen.

There is a legal maxim like 'If you acquiesce to an UNLAWFUL act you make it LEGAL'. IMO if he was not Constitutionally qualified to serve as President, his name should not have been placed on any ballot. The voters accepted/did not object to his name on the ballot, thus they acquiesced! Case closed? I expect this will be a 2012 issue.

There is nothing in there regarding requiring the mother to be 18 years old. Not to mention she was 18 at the time. All that s required is for her to have spent a total of five years living in the US, two of which were after the age of 14. She qualifies for this and thus passes on citizenship to Obama. Of course once again this is all moot as he was born in Hawaii.

Our nation was founded on the belief that as long as you're not harming or impeding anyone else, you should be allowed to continue living your life as you see fit.

With that being said, I could care less if Obama was born on Mars. I still do not want him as the current or future president because his policies are harming folks, impeding development, and over all using our own money to stomp out our basic freedoms.

I have stated many times that I have lived through many administrations. None have ever been perfect. Some worse than others.

But never in my wildest dreams did I believe things would be in such a sorry state of dissaray as they are now....we dont need a new president, we need to refresh our entire societal value system.

i'm starting to think that they could take doubters back in a time machine and show obama being birthed in front of them in hawaii and even still they would claim there is no concrete evidence. they would say it must have been a parallel universe.

In regard to your second paragraph I see no official proof of the certificate being a forgery. Just a group of people claiming/alleging it is and most(if not all) of the allegers belong to the right.

If you have no real chance of beating obama and the democrats during an election year then get desperate and use the inelligibility card in an attempt to sway voters. The issue is mute afaik regardless of which GOP candidate emerges from the primaries. Only ron paul had a chance but most people think he is a racist!
