Hi all, I'm Jeff from the mid-western U.S.. I've been reading around the site and liked what I saw so...you guessed it..I joined up.
**I landed here trying to get confirmation as to whether Geithner was actually questioned by NYPD, not starting a topic about it, just saying**

A little about me. As far as politics go, I'm neither left or right, while I do have some beliefs that go one way or the other, I consider most politicians to be liars and thieves. To be honest I had pretty much given up on our government. I tried to warn people during the Reagan years, protested the first Iraq war, Busch Sr. ect. ect. and no one listened. I re-kindled my interest in politics in the past couple years because a lot of the lies and corruption, are coming to the surface. We live in some pretty intense times, it's going to be very interesting to see how things play out in the next couple years.

When it comes to religion I don't really discuss it, I have my beliefs and everyone else has theirs. So don't look for me in any of the religious forums/threads _javascript:icon('

I'm 42, and have worked in the construction and steel fabrication trades since I was 16. I love building things with my hands, always have and always will. I have a few hobbies, I wakeboard in the summer, and snowboard in the winter. I guess that's about it for now, I look forward to getting to know everyone.

Welcome to ATS. I think the Geithner thing had us all a bit wary but Ben Fulford can be a bit testing at times too. We will see I guess, or not.

Anyway, welcome and enjoy. Watch out for the shills and wear the tinfoil at all times in the beginning.

Be sure to try out our Ask ATS with the 'topic' search words of your choice. I'm sure you will find many threads to pick from to add your thoughts and opinions too. We encourage everyone to please contribute to existing threads rather than start a new one. This will also help guarantee that your thread won't end up as a duplicate located elsewhere. The ATS Search feature is your friend!

AboveTopSecret is much like a theme park with many, many rides, so with that said...
Here's a few thoughts before getting onto any one of the 1000's of topical rides at Above Top Secret, also known as ATS, the world's largest Civil & Unique Discussion Community.

* Please check out those links posted above before getting on one of the rides. This will save you a lot of future stress, frustration and possible action by one of your friendly neighborhood Mods!

* Please be sure to act like an 'civil' adult and are at least this tall to get on any of the rides, (Johnny stretches his arm outward).

* Please remember that some members are very passionate and vocal depending on what ride your all on. You should be mentally fit, stable and have a strong stomach for theories, conjecture, research and evidence presented that may be contrary to your own.

* Please be "open-minded" enough to understand that sometimes the ride isn't always what you might expect. Be aware you also might end up learning something new and 'out-of-the-box' before you get off the ride.

* Please note that at times the ride gets overly-heated and "it's strongly suggested" to get off the ride to regroup one's thoughts before continuing. This will also help guarantee that the ride will move forward without getting derailed or explode into a fiery trashbin.

* Please have fun! But be aware that if you act in an uncivil-like manner, use profanity, intentially spread a hoax and/or get verbally abusive, you will be removed off the ride by a Moderator. This is not only for your safety, but also for those both young and old on the ride with you.

So buckle up, keep your arms within the ride's comfort zone, have fun and "Deny Ignorance"...!

Johnny

Thank you all for the warm welcome, and warning about getting addicted lol. I finally got a chance to really sit and do some reading. Mostly trying to get a feel for the forums, and the flow that different topics take on. I really enjoy the manner in which topics are discussed, I commend the staff on keeping the site free of immature "flame wars" that plague a vast majority of these type of forums. I also really like the graphics freedom here, the mini profile BG, avatars, and allowing graphics for signatures. I like to play around in photoshop once in awhile so having a place to post my stuff up is a big plus for me.
