Is it just me or is Al Jazeera supporting terrorist? Just look at them they play their tapes and their propaganda non stop and their always taking their sides. If you ask me Al Jazeera is nothing but a sublimnal messaging station brain washing young islamics to die for the cause. This station is the cause to the entire middle eastern up roar against the US, Their supportin terrorist and what are we going to do about it? Does the US have any plans on stopping these propaganda bastards? I know that the US banned al jazeera from Iraq Already but the damage has been done already.

Al Jazeera is a biased Arab news network, just all the hugely biased network news channels in America. They just show alot of stuff that the average Joe patriot and the Bush adminiatration don't want to see.

How else are you going to get a true sense of the damage that this invasion has done to Iraq. Watch FOX?

Al Jazeera is an Arab news station. Im not condoning thier broadcasts esp of dead US soilders. However they by and large do represent the sentiment of alot of the people ME. Our news services slant thier views towards our population as well. All the news services do it esp Fox news. So while we view it as propaganda, the Arab world takes a totaly differnet take on it. To try to stop the broadcasts would really only serve to prove the sterotypes that they may be broadcasting.

It is the only Arab TV station that openly criticises the regimes running the arab countries such as saudi. It has been banned from several such countries including Iraq because of this. I agree which what the others say, it may appear biased but just look at your own propaganda that news services such as fox are pumping out before critising AL Jazeera. I assume you speak arabic? because all programing is in arabic so that must be how you know what they are saying anyway.

The only brainwashing going on is the thinking that a news network, any news network, should be banned.

Anyone interested in a gripping look inside Al Jazeera you won't get from Fox News or CNN see the documentary"Control Room"...

If the purpose of a good documentary is to stretch our horizons, challenge accepted assumptions and get people thinking and talking, this film is not only good; it is important, too.

Yesterday I was watching CNN. For more than two hours they kept talking about nuclear terrorist acts, as if they have already hapenned. Various experts appeared to make us believe that it's only a matter of time and place. Nuclear material has been stolen, suitcases specially formulated for portable nuclear weapons have been traced, the CIA is almost right at the point to discover a huge network of arab terrorists that plan multiple nuclear strikes with portable weapons across a range of US cities etc etc.

Now, I ask all of you: who is the person that wouldn't be freightened from hearing all this? isn't this brainwashing? nothing has happened yet, but these people have brought disaster as if it was real. Where is the trust to American forces? the CIA? the FBI? the federal government? they talk as if this country is run by no one.

I am trying to say with the above that every major news network around the globe is being used for promoting certain political agentas. Al Jazeera was created for that purpose.

All news is biased. But, to see the truth, we have to compare and contrast various sources. Without other such biased sources, we would be forced to ONLY get news from one side. The truth is always, somewhere in the middle...

Funny how they are able to be the medium for these terrorist groups and still be allowed to air all the propaganda they like.

America needs Al Jazeera as much as the terrorists/middle east need.

why?????

Its one of the only sources available to the US regarding terrorist grp opinions and current threats.

They can't stopped it because that would be seen as just another step towards control.

I don't think Al Jazeera are connected to any group but are seen by terrorist grp/networks as a safe way to communicate without any come back.

With or without Al Jazeera we will still see the same images/opinions through other sources.

All in all they are not a responisble broadcaster because all they seem to do is draw attention to shocking news which is glamourise for middle east consumption.

doesn't help Al Jazeera does it????????...........but niether does american international foreign policy which has created this bi-product.

I find it rich that most condemn it's comments whilst being unable to speak arabic. (psst... it's not available in English)

Freedom of the press, No news should be banned even if its unconvenient to hear, besides, what authority do you have to say what should and what should not be broadcast in other sovereign nations. They get CNN international, they get skynews, they get fox and msnbc... they just don't want to watch them. If al-Jazeera and Al-Arabiyah is what they want then thats their choice. You won't quash terrorists in one stroke by felling a media organisation.

IMO

wats terrorism? ive never seen anything like this in my life. this thing, terrorism you refer to seems like its out of a fantasy world. there is no such thing as terrorismas far as my life is conscerned. only if you watch the news you believe that terrorism effects us. at least in california things are as calm as the day of the dinosaurs. the only thing i can see that remotely resembles terrorism, would be the acts of our federal government, and the people of the US. polluting the land, wasting goods, and ignoring the real problems that plague this world. sure we all work hard, ask your self what are we working for? we work for the government, we work to gain money, to spend on products the government manufactures, we are contributing to what ever their (perhaps sinister depending on who you believe) agenda might be. you probably think, well their agenda is to protect us from terrorism, i dont see any terrorist around though, never have, probably never will. al jazeera is playing the same game only on the different end of the spectrum, the poor naglected, anti-capitolistic, muslum comminity. as the body counts sky rocket in iraq, think about how many beheadings our proud country of america has commited, try to ponder 15000 people getting their heads chopped off by our military industrial complex, then you have an idea of what is going on. go outside, look around at what youve got, thank the lord you dont live in any other country then the US, we live like kings, we rule the world. dont be afraid of terrorist. be afraid of the men who have the power to manipulate the globe, however they see fit.

Web and TV content are much different. Alot of the stuff on the site can't be said due to regional slander/libel laws.

IMO, the majority of press does not cover alot of things being aired on Al-Jazeera. Allbeit propaganda, do you really think, the US press especially, we would know about all the kidnappings and murders? Whenever I see one of the majors talk about it, it is "Reports from Arabic TV station Al-Jazeera, claim that so and so was kidnapped and murdered......", it is never FOX NEWS, CNN, MSNBC is reporting...." It also gives an insite to the Middle East Views in general. As much as everyone wants to assume we know what they are thinking, we clearly do not.

Yes.

This is not your planet and you do not get to decide what is shown and what is not shown. Just because it's not beneficial to your ideology doesn't make it unworthy of the airwaves.

Hezbollah has a TV station, I don't see you running to shut that down. 100% terrorist run and operated broadcasting to Palestinians every day.

When you can't answer a question... avoid it!.

There's nothing wrong with Al-Jazeera, they do alot of quality journalism and naturally they have to pander to their audience.

On another note, That American flag graphic FOXNews uses plays hell with their graphics system but Americans still want that flag. So they show it.

Free Speech. Yes. And I can compare, top stories on US networks is Britney Spears' wedding. Meanwhile two clerics were killed. These networks "source" Al-Jazeera all the time. Just as you enjoy a freedom of posting on here and saying your views, so does the rest of the world. I have yet to see Al-Jazeera start a contest for the most kidnappings in a day, they report in and about whats going on in their area and the views of its citizens, we might not accept those views, but they are allowed to "think" none the less.
