One reporter's buried opinion from a heavily biased source does not confirmation make.

There are many threads in the hoax forum that have been based on news articles... most notably UFO sightings the press have reported as real, only to turn out to be a hoax. Just because a reporter writes something, does not mean it's true.


If your thread focused more on the dubious collusion seen in the Obama visit, and didn't make the unsupported claiming of campaigning, there'd be no need to move it.

By what is shown in that video, it sure looks like it.
- Obama went to Kenya.
- Obama was campaigning while there .. not for himself obviously.
- The crowds were listening to Obama speeches about how impressive Odingas work had been.
- Odinga was sitting/standing there the whole time basking in the attention.
- I'm pretty sure I saw people in the crowd holding up pictures of Obama and Odinga
(together in the pictures).

The title is - Obama campaigned for Kenyan Dictator in 2006.
Considering the above information .. I"m not seeing any 'hoax' with the OPs statement.

Obama may or may not have gone there specifically to do that ... we'll never know.
But he DID campaign for him while there. It's pretty undeniable.

The big debate is whether or not this trip was an "official campaign" stump for Odinga. The law of our land would certainly be against such a trip for a sitting Senator. Obama knew that. He was also fully aware of the conditions in Kenya prior to his trip. The political air was thick with tension and this trip was well planned accordingly.

Based on what I've read about Kenya and the tribal culture, Obama was considered royalty as seen in the video. He knew that and would have known that a few photo ops and public appearances with Odinga would be construed by Odinga'a radical ODM supporters as a big nod for Odinga in the race for president. Odinga capitalized on Obama's visit and milked it for all it was worth. All noticed by the political opposition in Kenya to the point where they thought Obama was interfering in Kenyan politics.

Obama did his thing met with some leaders stumped on his AIDS/HIV plan blah blah... In steps Dick Morris out of the blue. A man who whores out his political strategy skills to anyone. He'd previously done campaign work in the UK and in Ukraine, Argentina, Mexico....

Greenberg, Quinlan Rosner is another US Democratic strategic firm that allegedly did work for Odinga as well

Hoax! I don't think so. Every move made by Obama is calculated as our his moves months and years down the road.

Oddly enough Odinga is up for reelection in 2012 also. Wonder what his campaign slogan will be? Last time it was "Fairly we share, together we prosper" kind of like Obama's "Together we Thrive" slogan. Both Slogans cut from the same cloth
