Where's Laura Croft when you need her?
Probably working on another sequel.

but interesting...

This one part left me really leary of it though...

'He is reticent about giving too many details and will not publicly reveal his full identity or the location where he found the medallion "

How reliable is the source...I am asking because they misspelled civilization in the headline.

quote/ "We may at last have discovered evidence that proves the existence of that most fabled and mysterious civilisation: Atlantis"

I found this site while surfing today.
Kinda skimpy on specifics.
Makes me leary too.
Here's the main page.

I ask this because it seems like a money-making scheme.

Turns out it part of a publicity campaign
for a new book!!
So was that stupid March 8 website.
This website says the author had it hand crafted
by a jewler for the site. Maybe you could buy it?

When I am wrong I admit it and I found out that I was wrong...
Deepwaters pointed out to me that sometimes British substitute s for z, just as they add u in certain words...ie colour (Thanks Deep). A trace on the site gives two addresses, Arizona; U.S.A. and the U.K.
What I am saying is that my argument to the legitimacy has absolutely no relevance in this case.

propos of not very much K_OS, we British regularly substitute "-ise" for "-ize" in verbs and related nouns. The "z" is acceptable ( one should not, of course, use either indiscriminately) the "s" is rather more respectable: it's what the Oxford English Dictionary uses.
And on the topic of two nations divided by a common language: have you ever noticed that titles on the spines of British hardback books tend to go in the opposite direction to the titles on US books?
And it must be time for Estragon's medication now!

on this, as I was schooled under British teachers for about half of my childhood education, and American the other half, so I sometimes go back and forth between the two spellings...especially where liscence and liscense are concerned, or civilization, and civilisation, defense, and defence, etc. At least I pretty much use color instead of colour, etc. now...

I think you will find that these words have been used in the english language a long time before the US was colonised (colonized), there for please dont think it is the British who "substitute" letters but the americans who change the language.
