Anyone watching Fox "News" to get informed is a fool, simple as that. The other main stream media are biased too, but Fox is the uncontested leader when it comes to being a propaganda network. MSNBC is biased too, ans waaaaaaay too lenient when it comes to Obama, but at least they are not "photoshopping" their reporting like Fox does.

That network has zero credibility, and it's not surprising that Fox viewers are generally less informed than viewers of other networks. For example, the majority still believed there's WMDs in Iraq even after it was clear what nonsense that claim was.

Treat Fox "News" as an extension of the Colbert Report...much more enjoyable that way

And stop watching those mindless opinion shows like O'Reilly. For crying out loud, the man believes only earth having a moon is proof of god...even if most planets have more moons than earth

So many people I know watch FOX, it amazing me that when you expose the blatant slanted coverage their viewers generally pass it off and seem to really believe its fair and balanced. It would be fine if they understood the agenda and the angle of the coverage but so many seem to be brainwashed.

The "We report you decide" is the most hypocritical slogan ever.

I think that people who go to events and speeches to cause trouble or "boo" people are mental midgets and immature brats who are desperate for attention. Someone should slap their parents for raising them so badly.

As to FoxNews, who cares? The obsession with FoxNews is truly odd. I favor Free Speech personally, whether I agree with it or not. Seems like lots of people suddenly no longer favor Free Speech and want to silence anyone that is not in lock-step with them. Truly a sad thing to watch. The people most likely to cause the complete loss of Free Speech will likely yell the loudest when it's gone. That's what I think.

The war between Move On and FoxNews is interesting. Move On's site is littered with lies and false innuendo and yet they want FoxNews silenced for lying?
Why not just come out and say it. They want Rights to only apply to them and people who agree with them and nobody else. They want to become a separate class with special Rights that only they enjoy. It can't possibly be about lying considering the amount of lies and spin contained on all the other sides sources. Total Frauds and Phonies All

No I think your unending penchant to protect and defend the anti real conservative Fox
News is truly odd.

I dunno, man. They started clapping before the words even fully left his mouth.

Yes they did, on that video. But the video was not an accurate representation of reality, now was it?

If the vet in question was at the microphone to ask the question, then why was someone different walking away from the microphone after hearing Bolton's response?

The thing about Fox "News" is you cannot trust what you heard, saw, or even some of their unretracted lies.

Fox "News" won a court case back in the early 2000s that made it acceptable (and apparently legal) to willingly and knowingly present false information to their audience and call it "news".

Come on now and finish.

Other horrible information sources known for lying and spin -
MoveOn dot Org (pure Partisan garbage engaged in an attempt to silence all dissenting speech)
The Daily Koss
MSNBC
NBC
Huffington Post (to a lesser degree)

Hopefully it will continue. Free Speech and a Free Press are the real issue. Anyone trying to silence speech is the enemy; anyone wanting any source of information shut down is the enemy.

I do not question the validity of your argument, however, I was merely trying to comment of the type of people that attend these meetings. They are the type with which status/titles take precedence over the actual information being presented. ie. People that actually believe the horse crap that comes out of the mouths of politicians. Merely a social commentary. If anything, my opinion only strengthens your argument, so at ease man. lol

I'm an Independent and not controlled by one ideology. I do believe in Free Speech however. Sad so many others here do not believe in Free Speech unless it agrees with them. Lot's of wanna be dictators around these days.

The world is crawling with bad sources of information, including ATS. I'm against shutting any of them down or silencing any of them.

As to the children who go to speeches and disrupt to get attention, they are children even if they are in adult bodies. They get the attention they want, but mostly laughter and disgust at their behavior.

In my opinion, smart people read or listen to all information sources. People who limit their sources based on bigotry only limit their information and it makes their opinions controlled and uninformed. Partisan Republicans and Democrats are controlled. Which Party does not matter, they are sheep. How can anyone possible know the "truth" if they allow themselves to be controlled by a Party or Ideology? They can't. They believe whatever they are told to believe.

I find the exact same problem with folks who listen only to the MSNBC/ABC/CBS Obama propaganda....they actually believe that the Obama-Pelosi machine is saving the world from the evil conservatives.

Crazy, isn't it?

I don't mean to give the impression we disagree on a lot. Sorry if I gave that impression. I've only commented mostly on the stuff I either wanted clarification on or particular statements I may have misunderstood.

That, and also sharing some of my thoughts and opinon on certain things.

I can relate, and appreciate where you are coming from and how you feel about most of it. Most of your comments I agree with, some I think are stellar

No, they won't. The FAUX faithful will continue to call them the "best news in America".

Bill O'Reilly has consistently said that his program "is not news, it's opinion, and that he hopes that his audience is smart enough to tell the difference" but yet consistently gets the most viewers of any "news program" in America. Sean Hannity says the same thing and consistently gets 2nd highest. Bill O'Reilly also claims that he "isn't a journalist".

Touche, Bill. REAL journalists need to watch what they say and need to confirm sources.

That works, but eventually they get a new tv.

The local Burger King in my town plays Fox on their big screen tvs all day long. Sometimes I choose to engage the people who sit in there and talk politics while they watch the news. Good times for all of us

The Mainstream media are as guilty of war-mongering and provocation as the criminal government who we continuously put into office.

They all work for the same Cabal.

One thing that really annoys me is that many ATSers automatically assume someone is a liberal or a liberal on most issues simply because they complain about being lied to by Fox "news".

I don't always think this is the case. In fact I do have many conservative friends who believe Fox "news" is one of the most damaging things for the Republican party these days. I tend to agree with them, that and their candidates and party members inconsistancy between what comes out of their mouths and the actions and behaviours and what they actually do.

Just the other day I heard that speech given by Romney to an almost totally empty stadium and he said the exact same sentence and entire spill about smaller government blah blah blah that I also heard from candidates Reagan, Bush Sr, and Georgy double u Bush as well, but under their administrations the government grew.

The very same day Romney said that I saw on Fox "news" them complaining about Obama's plans to decrease the military and decrease government. Fox "news" propagandaists can't have it both ways, not that that matters. No matter what they will complain about Obama and his administration even if they have to make it up....
