Teeny prehistoric horses (ultimate pet?)

Over 50 million years ago during a hotter period ( called the Paleocence-Eocene Thermal Maximum) which is believed to have lasted around 175 000 yrs the cat sized Sifrhippus was wandering the north American continent.
It is also believed they evolved to this size in the first 130 000 yrs of this period. Is that rapid for such radical change?
Of further interest is the notion of future evolution of current species to deal with our changing climate. Anyone care to speculate on what might be roaming the planet 130 000 years from now?

Lmao imagine the school kids walking past the freaky cat-horse woman's house...the front yard smells of horse-pee and there's 8 little horses hiding in the shrubbery hissing and a sign on the gate saying "free foals to good homes only".
