Well, I completely did not expect what I am about to show you guys to ever happen to me, if they are what my gut is telling me they are. Let me provide some context to the situation. It was an afternoon where my wife and I were relaxing in the hammock. She was reading a book while I tried out my new circular polarizing filter for my Nikon D3000. It was currently mated to a 55-200mm lens.

So I was snapping away not really thinking I'd catch anything interesting. That is until I uploaded them and viewed them in Lightroom tonight... When I noticed the objects in the first group, I really thought they were two birds that just happened to fly in the shot. Well I usually remember shots like that, because its a bit annoying when something messes up your shot. I didn't really remember birds flying by but that was the most rational explanation I could give myself. Anyways, it was not until the second group where I noticed an object that seemed to have a curve to it (top right of photo). I noticed the curve on it once I noticed it change it's trajectory and it still maintained a consistent curve. I say curve because that is where the edge seemed to have a reflection or some sort of glow. On the last photo of the second group, I noticed a larger curved object appear in the lower to mid left of the photo. Looks just like the first curved object, but bigger.

See below and I would love some feedback to see what everyone else makes of these. I've uploaded the photos to my flickr account and I can provide the original RAWs if anyone wants to see that these are not photoshop additions or processing. The only processing involved, if you even want to count it, was me importing the RAWs into LR, and then exporting them as JPEGs.

*ETA* If you right-click on the links and open them in order in their own tabs, trying clicking on the tabs in order. You will see the trajectory change in the second group really good.

Below are the cropped and enhanced ones. Hope these make it easier as I was trying to keep the pics closest to original as possible.

Why....why....why couldn't you have taken a video Q_Q

On topic: Yes these are very odd, but being the UFO sensationalist that I am, I have to refrain from taking any sides on the matter of what they may or may not be. S+F hoping some people get on this.

Yea, and that's the killer part is that I didn't even notice them when checking them on the camera. I also have my camera set to unlimited burst, so usually when I follow a jet I just hold down the trigger and hope for a decent shot. I also noticed the two objects on the first group of photos to be almost facing the plane. Both of their top or bottom sides a pointing towards the plane. Noticed that after I noticed the second object sort of change its trajectory towards the jet in the shot. The second group of shots literally happened in a second or two because it was only those three frames I've noticed objects in... Mind. Blown.

Thanks man! Yea it does seem real. Times like these made me wish I had two things. A larger lens and greater MP capability. Because I think this camera is only 10MP... I was thinking of actually trying to process them to make the image pop more. Might highlight the objects better because I literally just uploaded them about 30mins ago into Lightroom..

Dear 0R10N

This is a joke right.

If not congratulation you have captured a commercial jet liner.

Just a question, what made you want to take photos of the sky? Do you do this often, or was it a strong desire to start snapping photos?

The first "photobomb" as you put it honestly looks like some insects to me. Do you remember any sort of insects around you during the time you were taking these images?

The second few, however I'm not so sure about. I do trust you didn't photoshop these at all or anything like that, but I'm going to withhold my judgement until others have fully analyzed these.

Dear MAC269,

Did you look at all the pics? Not a joke, nor am I claiming I caught ETs... Just figured I'd put it out there to get some feedback. Didn't really expect nor welcome the sarcastic additions..

Not to be an arse, but reading the OP helps man. I do this on occasion, and in this instance I was trying out my new circular polarizing filter for my camera. That filter helps make everything pop in the picture and cuts down the amount of post-processing. Its like polarized sunglasses, but for a camera.

Thanks for the response. I am open to any thoughts. I didn't think about insects. It was in late January this year when I took these, might have been earlier, not sure. There weren't many insects around really, it was a nice crisp day with little to no humidity. Plus the fact that I had a 55-200mm lens locked in and was zoomed in all the way. So I am not sure about the insect thing because I think they would be way more distorted and blurry. Not sure if you'd even see them since the focal point was on the plane.

While I can see the black specks in the 3rd photo, I may have terrible eye sight but I'm having trouble trying to spot whatever I'm supposed to be looking for in the other photos.
Perhaps you could put a red circle around them?

Yeah, I'm not seeing anything either! OP, what are we supposed to be looking at in these pics besides the plane?

He's talking about the objects to the right of the plane...

And one that seems to curve in the last three pictures...

I tried to describe the locations in my OP, but here's some highlighted edits below. Sorry, I know they're not the best of pics but I felt I needed to share. And if you have the capability, try to right-click and open each link in its own tab.. Then click on the tabs from left to right. You will see the apparent flight path change. These just have me scratching my head more than anything...

I also have the full blown images (3872x2592) if anyone knows of a place I can upload them to that is free.

I saw 2 objects when I blew it up %500 . Could be anything from an insect to a bird or even fighter jets. It certainly is unidentified and am afraid to small for my littl $5 netbook to do any real analyzing.
