This morning around 5:45 a.m. my daughter went outside on the front porch to feed one of the cats that was clawing at the door. I was sitting at the computer (of course) in the living room.
All of a sudden the door bursts open, and she hollers at me, "Mama! Mama! I think I just saw a UFO!"

So I jump up and run outside. It was already gone.

She said it came streaking though the sky, then stopped just above the horizon, and took off in a different direction. I suppose if I described it's path, it would be like a V shape, according to her.

I wondered if it could have been a meteor hitting the earth's atmosphere and bouncing off, but she was so excited to see it, I couldn't bring myself to "rain on her parade".

Who knows? It very well could have been a UFO.

I've spent a lot of time reading topics in this forum and one thing I've seen is that those who experience para. phenomena tend to continue to experience it.

Has anyone ever heard of a study being done to connect multiple events?

You have?! Well, thanks for popping in to say hello... Welcome to the thread.

No, I haven't heard of such a "study", but there may have been some.
I would imagine that some type of paranormal institution (whatever they are called) would have looked into this. If not, it would certainly make an interesting study to do.

Would you be interested in doing one?

A lot of activity at work last night. It happened on a different building than the one I was in.

The staff there said the t.v. came on by itself when no one was in the room (where the t.v. is). They looked at each other with "that look" of surprise, because the t.v. doesn't have a remote; it has to be turned on with the button on the set.

So, instead of stepping out to turn it off (because I think it spooked him), he flipped the breaker to the t.v. in the office where he was.
About 15 seconds later the breaker flipped back on by itself and the t.v. came back on.

They freaked out!
They concluded that the ghost that haunts that building wanted to watch the football game that was on... so they let him.

Also, they said the radio was changing stations by itself.

We have new staff in that building. I think the ghost was saying hello to them in the way he does it best!

FREAK OUT!

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your story. It has been 4 years almost to the day, that one of my closest friends commited suicide. Shortly after that, my best friend was murdered. His dog is currently snuggled up beside me. I truly feel your pain.

I have to tell you, about a month prior to the suicide, there was so much paranormal activity going on. Very spooky things. I too was living in a good area, I'm normal, hardworking, positive, and I never asked for any of it.

My house would sometimes get this static charge, the same hair standing up that you described. I would try my best to ignore it and press on with whatever I was doing. Then activity became heightened. I was seeing shadows. I thought it was an animal in the house (didn't have a dog until my buddy was killed). I would check, and nothing was ever there.

My roommates started to see these shadows too. One time I had a roommate and a friend in the kitchen, we were leaning/sitting on counters chatting and a black mass rolled up out of the floor and accoss the kitchen. It was so prominent that it had a reflection in the stove. The energy got so intense that there were then loud bangs all over the house! We went running out just like you did! We thought the pipes were going to explode! This was within seconds of the black ball/orb.

Lots of other shadow incidents happened daily. Then in the kitchen again, my roommate and I were chatting when we both saw a black shadow fly through the kitchen. Both of us were casually talking and our eyes naturally followed the object, when we saw this piece of paper on the fridge flapping in the direction the shadow went. This thing had enough force to move air. We get the "what the $&@%" look and scream out a variety of obscenities literally running out the door.

I was running a nonprofit at the time. I managed two garden plots that donated to local food pantries. I was taking photos of tomatoes and peppers for a website update. When looking through the pictures on the computer there was a distinctive hooded figure holding a scythe. These shots were done on a white surface with pro lighting. The shadow reaper was so obvious that my business partner deleted the image and commented about how strange it was to get a shadow in that pic with the lighting we were using. No other pictures had it. She also said that picture made her uncomfortable.

My friend who killed himself was my neighbor, like a roommate almost. His beer in my fridge, over whenever, he consoled me during these experiences. Of course I would see him and explain everything that was going on. He was such a good soul. I still don't know why he did it but I have this nagging feeling it was something to do with those shadows. I miss him terribly, I am still so deeply hurt by his death.

I had to share some of my experiences, there's more...but I don't want to ramble too much.

Thank you for sharing your story. It means a lot. I can't share these details with most people, and it feels really nice to at least get my story out there.

Welcome to the thread Abello.
I'm sorry for your loss. It does help us to heal by talking about things. When those things involve the paranormal, it is difficult to find anyone to listen without thinking the person has lost his mind.
I hope this thread will give you the avenue to share and heal.

I think the shadows are responsible for making people commit suicide in some cases. These are the shadow people. They get inside the mind of a person, and eventually control their thoughts to the point of making them kill themselves.

As for the Grim Reaper, I think that is a being that comes when death is near someone. He has been seen by others previous to the death of someone close, or living nearby. He is seen near hospitals, and so are the shadow people.

It's strange you experienced the same things that Mackey99 did with the shadow, then the pipes banging like that. At least, you have someone who understands your experiences you can discuss this with.

I hope to see you back, and I hope Mackey88 comes back to continue his stories also.

Thanks for sharing here.

Thanks for your thoughts on the phenomenon I experienced. I agree with your explaination of the shadow beings and the reaper image.

I will delve a little further and let you know that my friend who committed suicide never admitted to seeing shadows. However, I believe he was having paranormal experiences but didn't recognize it. He was a very straight laced guy, went to an elite university, had a great job. He was confiding in me that he was fearful someone was breaking into his house. He was hearing banging around his house. One time it was so bad he ended up sticking a broom into his fireplace knocking it around bc he was trying to determine if it was birds or animals making the noises. We laughed it off imagining if someone could see our nutty behavior, it would be hilarious. Him listening to walls, sticking brooms up fireplaces and yelling...and me running from a black ball rolling through my kitchen. Point is, I think he was experiencing some of the activity too. Also, he experienced the bangs...so yeah, another weird connection I hadn't given much thought the about the bangs until mackey88's reply and Sled noticing the connection as well.

Great thread!

Umm, I don't think anything bounces off the atmosphere, I think it either burns up on contact or burns up slowly as it enters the atmosphere, streaking across the sky (NOT changing direction, I might add LOL!) such as a "shooting star." They don't stop, either, so congrats to your daughter on a good sighting! Could have been why the cat was scratching, too... it felt "something" in the air.

I think you're right.
If so, then I saw one do the exact same thing at work last week while I was on break. It really did look like it just bounced off right before entering our atmosphere. It didn't even slow down; just *PING*, and back up into space.
I didn't know if objects could do that, or not, so I hadn't mentioned it here.

The thing is, we are so far away from the "entry point" of our atmosphere, somewhere around 100 miles according to a couple of sources I found online. There's no way we should be able to see anything "bounce" off our atmosphere, and there's no hard edge, anyway, just an area where it starts to change.

The only way we see little meteorites is when they enter and start to burn up on entry, like when the space shuttle tiles on it's belly heat up on re-entering the earth's atmosphere. The friction generates heat, and therefore the meteorites glow as they enter, and that's our shooting stars.

If this was a meteor approaching earth, it would definitely be like a shooting star. I don't think there is any way we could see anything be deflected off our atmosphere.

I apologize if I'm rambling, as I have taken sinus pills to keep my face from exploding.

So then, it makes me wonder if there is some type of spacecraft fueled by something we aren't familiar with, that causes these ships to deflect when entering our atmosphere?
I haven't heard of this, but I haven't seen any object do that until that night at work last week... and then my daughter described seeing the same thing a few nights later.

ODD!

DangerousPrey, and Mackey88,

I can't send either of you a message because you don't have 20 posts in yet. So, I'm asking here if either of you would be interested in coming on the Into The Fringe radio show on Tuesday evenings to discuss your experiences?

Get those 20 posts in guys, so we can communicate with you. Go welcome some new members to ATS, and "get'er done".

Back in July of 2001, I had a very intense dream. I was in college, and had been dating a young lady about a year. I don't remember the exact date, but was during the week. We watched a movie, had some wine, and went to bed. I woke up at 3am on the dot, yelling in my sleep. I sweating really bad too. My girlfriend woke up and turned the light on. She was like OMG! you were yelling so loud! What happened?".......... I had a dream that I was in a plane, and in the middle of my dream, I woke up in the plane. I was sitting in the first class section, (which I have never been in by the way
), towards the back, but not in the coach section. I was like asleep in my seat, like maybe knocked out or drugged, I woke up and the plane was decending rapidly, the engines were roaring, and the whole plane was shaking badly. I looked around the plane and everyone was "laid out" like a big slumber party, and everyone was passed out. The cockpit door was open, and I could see out the window. I looked out the windows, and could see a cloudless day, a big city, with the sun gleaming off the water around the city, and the plane felt like it was crashing. The fear I felt was surreal. The plane leveled off and I could see through the cockpit window a big building, and we were headed at it. I could see the vertical lines on the building, and in a slow motion, we made impact........ I immediately woke up screaming from the dream. I told my girlfriend this, and I jumped up and got on the computer, and started googling for "plane crashes". I searched off and on for about 3 weeks about plane crashes on the computer, but, found nothing. Kind of forgot about it until 9-11 happened. Very strange.

I actually made some artwork about this dream. I will see if I can find this, and maybe post it at some point in the future. I made a couple of big paintings, but they grew legs and disappeared from the studio at the college. I know I have sketches in one of my sketch books from back then, but all that artwork is in a box somewhere at my parents house.
