I've read the window needs to be open, but I've seen shows on t.v. that don't open anything when getting rid of spirits. So, I'm not sure anymore which way it should be. Seems to me if you open a window, it gives the spirit free reign to go bother someone else in the neighborhood. But if you keep them closed, it has to go to the dimension where it should be... no place else to go.

I was always taught to send anything I felt that was negative 'to the light', and it has always worked, so far....

I pick up a lot of residual energy in this world, and it's hard to tell sometimes if it's coming as a warning from my guides, emotions of others, world-wide energies/thoughts, or just what is up. Then I know it's time for a spiritual cleansing, and if the feeling still persists, it doesn't seem to carry the 'angst' with it; just the 'heads up- be prepared' feeling.

Yes, this would be for earthbound ghosts. But when you're dealing with demonic entities, or evil of any kind, you can bet they aren't going to go to the light because they fear punishment.
The only way to get rid of them is to do a house cleansing in hopes it works. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes this will send them into hiding for awhile, but they come back.

If the presence is a demon, the only way to get rid of it is with an exorcism.
And sometimes not even that works.

I watched a show last night, When Ghosts Attack , where a guy had tried having a demon exorcised several times, and it was still there. He has battled it for two years, but refuses to leave and let the demon win.

Stupid pride!!!

I once lived in a house that had a pretty sinister presence. After reading some of the posts here, I feel really fortunate now that it didn't follow us when we moved!
Maybe it was just a ghost, but it was spooky none the less.

Here is the new show I was talking about. I wanted to post the one of the demon and man I was referring to, but this is the only full length video they have up.
I've seen this one too. They are all really scary!!

You can go to the "Destination America videos" site and watch all the shows they've aired so far:

I can't watch scary stuff like that! =-O

Smudging problem... my room is starting to stink like smoke! Need a new method of clearing the space.

A Buddhist nun just gave me some a suggestion: in their rituals, the give small portions of the blessed food offerings to the spirits and take it outside so that they leave. Blessed means purified and transformed into a substance that bestows bliss, usually with mantra "om ah hum" x 3 and visualization. The small amount of food needs to be in tiny bites because spirits have small mouths and narrow throats. She said she does this food offering at home if she has spirit problems. This probably isn't for heavy duty demons but your typical spirit is usually hungry and an blessed offering with compassion is supposed to work.

So, tonight I just offered some left over bits of chips and some pomegranate. "om ah hum..."

I'll let you know if I sleep better...

That's awesome!

I never would have thought of feeding them, but then a lot of cultures offer food for to the departed...it just might work!

The moving shadows seemed to have been the 'last hurrah' of whatever was messing with me, as everything seems to have been quiet since then.

The only 'incident' I can recall was a vivid dream that involved being given a book relating to witchcraft or something to that effect. It began in the mountains and I was hunting some thing with a bolt action rifle. After shooting at it, the dream transitioned to being back in the 'real' world where I was constantly tired and couldn't figure out what I was supposed to be doing, so I just slept. I still had my rifle and pack with me, and I remember the bullets had a strange smell. On the second day back, I was in a meeting room trying to sleep again, and some people came to get some files from me, which were in a kind of secret compartment of the pack. The files were evidence of a conspiracy, but I don't know what. After that, I left the room and was given the witchcraft tome, and in the dream I worked at a library so I took it there.

Outside the library, a man tried to steal the tome but I just ran inside and he departed. I took the tome to an occult section and there was a witch's coven/group of people interested in the occult that were interested in the tome. After taking it from me, they warned me that the library was haunted, and I had to take care of it. There were three spirits haunting the library, and to get rid of them I had to say a spell in the form of a rhyme. I can't remember what I came up with, but two of the lines ended with 'save' and 'grave.' I successfully got rid of the first two, but the third was upset that he had to be sent away and I told him he could just go back to his body on his own, so he did.

After that, one of the occult people held up a device that warned of the undead coming. The ghost I had let go, along with a bunch of his buddies, had returned as revenants. They turned out to be pirates from the 1600s, and they were hungry. The library had a cafe in it, so they all went there except one pirate who said he had no money. I gave him a $10 bill, the food cost $2, and he kept my change! The dream ended shortly after as I went to the cafe and was looking at this massive barbeque grill.

Anyway, thankfully nothing new to report, except a strange dream.

Yeah, that's one of the scariest ghost series I've watched in awhile.

I had a ghost that took my food a couple of times. It's posted in the thread... somewhere.

I'll have to feed the poor thing. I didn't realize it was hungry. Very interesting!
That's the first time I've heard of ghosts eating.

How does that work, anyway?

Yes, please let us know how that goes for you.

Quite often i experience strange things in that state between awake and sleeping, like seeing hundreds of faces passing by, or colored lights that put on quite a show, but I've never had an experience like last night!

I had been reading ATS- which may/may not have any thing to do with it.

I wasn't sleepy, and was having trouble reaching that 'pre-sleep' state, so I was wondering if any Rh positive people had been abducted and why such a strong link with the Rh negative group, and I heard a bee buzz in my ear very loudly! There are no bees this time of year where I live, and certainly not in my house.
I was still wide awake, so I found it rather odd...I even stuck my finger in my ear to make sure nothing was there!

About three minutes later, I began to hear a slow, steady tapping in my other ear. It reminded me of raindrops falling on a roof.
While I was concentrating on the oddity of these sounds, I began to imagine(?) something rather crazy. I 'saw' a typical saucer-shaped UFO flying around, disappearing and reappearing. The oddest part was how it did it.
Not sure I can explain it properly.....it's like the invisible air around us is 'layered', and the saucer went through two layers, like going between two bed sheets. It was still there, flying right beside me, but invisible until it found another opening though which to reappear.
I was still WIDE awake, so I have no understanding of why my mind would make up such a thing. I eventually fell asleep wondering about this strange tangent of my thought process.
Now I have to add a new chapter to the strangeness in my life!

I've heard people who have OBEs say these are both signs/sounds that a person hears before leaving the body.
It doesn't matter if you were awake; it is the state of mind you're in at the time. You were in deep concentration about the Rh blood. It took you into the deeper states of consciousness.

Going through the different dimensions. UFOs have to lower their vibration to be seen, or we have to raise our vibration to see them, one or the other.
Your "state of mind" could have been teeter-totting to make it appear as if it was disappearing for a few seconds.

AWESOME!!

*wheh*.... Wipes brow... Just finally made it all the way through every post from page 1!! Now I feel I have the right to join ATS and post

Thank you EVERYBODY for such incredible experiences. I have very little to share, but can't tell you all how much I appreciate you sharing so I can learn without having to go through such terrifying events myself. I do believe I don't have many experiences because I just really don't want to - not that you do, but I'm pretty good at "ignoring" things I don't want to deal with, if you know what I mean
I feel like I know you all already!

You took on quite an endeavor, Chaosgirl! I'm happy you enjoyed the thread enough to join.

Welcome to ATS, and my thread! Hopefully, there will be many more experiences being shared here.

This thread will be discussed on the new "Out of the Box" radio show next week on Monday night. I don't know yet whose posts they will be talking about, but it should be interesting!!

And the week following, on the 25th, they will be doing a live interview (recorded) with Alfred2012. He posted here about all his ET/spiritual contacts, if you remember.

Sit back, read, and enjoy!

M gosh, Sled;your insight never ceases to amaze me !
Before I started 'seeing' things, my last thoughts were a question to my guide:
" If ET exists, how come I haven't seen them. I see UFO's...so what's the Rh link?"
THEN I started visualizing....
I was in an underground tunnel, and saw shadow figures. I thought, just maybe, I was going to see an alien!

But then I was on the earths surface again seeing saucers.

Strange.....that's all I can say.

So, as I said, I have very few experiences and tend to ignore them, here's an example:

We move around a lot for my husbands job. We live in our RV or motel rooms for months on end. Our two cats (and 2 kids) go everywhere with us and have stayed in more motels than most adults. So a few months ago we were in the L.A area where rooms are pricey and neighborhoods vary greatly. I picked a brand that we use often because they are inexpensive and we have good luck with them. When we checked in, the neighborhood was "iffy" so we decided to spend 1 night and find somewhere else.

So we go to bed, kids in the other bed, and about 3 am our cat just starts YOWLING - that low growl and hiss kind of thing. We ignore it, as we are tired. She keeps it up. We wake up enough to tell her to be quiet!!!!! She keeps it up. We ignore her some more. Finally I wake up enough to open my eyes, and notice the recessed light above our bed is glowing faintly - not on, but not off either. The cat is still freaking out. I sleepily yell at the cat a few more times, decide the light isn't bright enough to bother with and go back to sleep (as much as possible with cat!). She finally quieted down, seemed like went on for ages but maybe 1/2 hour or so? Other cat didn't respond, just was looking around confused (but she usually looks confused). And that was it. Didn't think about it much.

But...
We have had this cat since she was born and has NEVER acted like this EVER (and as I said, she has stayed in many, many different places and spent long hours driving cross-country).

and

I know absolutely the light was OFF.

I tried to research the motel, and finally tracked down - it had been a pretty shady place and had just been completely remodeled and re-branded, so who knows what all took place there over the years!

So, yes I think was paranormal. But I really didn't think about it until later

Yep, the light and your cat acting like that was a sure sign of paranormal activity.

Motels/Hotels are some pretty haunted places because of the many number of people who have stayed there, or been there before it was a hotel. Strong energies "hang on" to a place, and can be picked up by sensitives/psychics/mediums, etc.
Not that I think your's was residual. The "ghost" (?) was probably using the light for energy, even tho it was off.

That's weird!

Got any more?

I'm off to work soon, so I'll check out the thread tomorrow.

Have a good night/day.

I haven't done much research on hungry ghosts/spirits. According to Wikipedia, the lore varies somewhat from culture to culture. Nevertheless, I'm going to try small food offerings...

Last night was the first night I left a few bits of food outside after blessing them and wishing it to pacify their suffering. I woke up less tired but I think the hungry ghost tried to call me in my dream! In my dream was a man I was trying to avoid. He left a cell phone behind and I saw pictures on it of a perverse use of baked potatoes. I won't elaborate!

I left the phone with the police warning them that the owner might be up to no good!

I think that ghost was making fun of me. No I didn't leave any potato out as the offering last night but tonight I have some left over squash...

LOL!

That's a new one! And funny.

I just got home after working overtime, so I'm not going to reply in detail... my brain isn't up to it just now.

Thanks for letting us know how it went.

And please, let us know how the squash works out.
