Could you describe the creatures you saw? I really am interested in this.

I'm off to work now, but I'll check back in the morning when I get home.

Have a great night.

Little tidbit to bump the thread before it falls into the ATS abyss.

Updates:

*Something has been touching me on my arm and fingers... to the point it makes me jump.
*I am still getting the bangs on my bedside table
*The light is still flickering in the bathroom when I take a shower.
*I still haven't seen the UFO on my way to work since I put the camera in the car.
*The people are still living in the house I spoke of. (That's amazing!)
*The ghost at work hasn't been around in several weeks.

I think that covers all the updates. Maybe...

That happens to me a lot when I'm sitting here at night by myself watching ghost stories, or something paranormal related. Yes, it is weird. Or, it "feels" weird when that happens.

My t.v. stand just popped as I was typing this.

Very strange!

Has anyone dreamed of ghosts? I don't know if it's actually paranormal of course, but I had a weird dream a few days ago. It must have been set in a bus depot or something of that nature. I was with others but I don't know who they were. The bus had just arrived I think and we were headed towards it and were passing by an area with lockers. There were three spectral men there, interacting with the lockers. Two were wearing World War II era US Army uniforms and the third was clad in World War I gear complete with an over coat and M1917 helmet. For whatever reason, we decided to engage these phantoms. I'm not sure what all happened at the end, but I remember the ghosts not exactly being pleased, being face to face with the doughboy, and singing what may have been "There's a Long Long Trail A-winding," which was a WW I song, I think in order to placate the ghosts.

Hummm........ I don't know think I have ever dreamed of ghosts.

Could it be you were crossing the timelines to go back to that period in an astral journey? Or, could it have been a past-life memory?

I don't know how to respond to dreaming of ghosts. That's different.

A newer thing happening around here.
Last night Dark had to turn off my daughter's t.v. and dvd player 4 times.
As for me I still have something touching the back of my neck.
It seems as we get closer to going to The Palmer House and recent construction
going on around the apartment complex things are really kicking up.

Just the tv, the dvd player I never turned off.

But it did turn itself (the tv) back on several times. twice right after I turned it off, I would turn around to leave the room and it would turn back on.

There is no remote for the tv either, so it was not someone laying on it or playing with it and my daughter was totally asleep.

My boss also has been having things happen at her house, she has woken up 3 times in the last month seeing something like a shadow person charging at her. She says it is something she has experienced all her life, but the last month and a half it has happened three time. I even had her watch a video on old hag syndrome, but she says it is something that doesn't cause her to freeze, she wakes up to it coming at her and she can move and remember the entire incident. So it is not sleep paralysis either. When I asked her why it frightened her so bad, she said that it feels like if it reaches her it will do something like take her soul, for lack of a better way to describe the feeling.

The other girl in the office had a paper last week that just suddenly appeared on her desk after we left the office, and locked the door, when we came back, the paper was there, and was not when we left.

The other caretaker has been dreaming about demons, twice now in the last few weeks...lol I told him not to watch that dang movie "the Conjuring" before we went to the Palmer house....
To late on that one, now he is having nightmares...
He should of listened.

There has also been the constant feeling of someone opening our front door and closing it, even after it is locked, I swear I hear it opening and closing...lol

yeah......

So other than that.....not much going on here.

Something I found with having spirit contact in your sleep, if it is real spirits, they will leave you with something to verify they were there, like information you find later on pertaining to the dream, and what happened.
Usually something you would know nothing about, or some sort of premonition verification.

Almost all spirit contact will come with verifiers of some kind.

Well now I'm going to have to watch "The Conjuring"!!!

Just wanted to touch base with everyone, and say that things have been slowly heating up where I work. Little things, like when someone comes in to my counter, it's hard to describe, but you know how when someone comes close to you they kind of block the "air" sound in a room? Twice tonight I heard that but no one was there.

We usually have solid heel-to-toe footsteps we hear on those thick plastic mats we have all over the floor. I've had other people in there with me and during a conversation, we'd hear that and stop talking to look up and see no one there. It's usually five or six steps that are heard clearly, not mincing footsteps, but BOLD.

On a really cool note - I think our little ghost hunting group is going to get to do another investigation Saturday night. Can't say where we're going, if this works out, because they don't want any publicity at all concerning this. The question of doing an investigation was raised once years ago, and they said absolutely not. Keep your fingers crossed for us, because this place is pretty active at times.

Oh yeah, I went to visit my sister in South Carolina a couple of weeks ago and meet her new husband (my new brother-in-law, I guess I should say). Her husband of about 40 years passed away in November of last year, and she swore she'd never marry again. Never say never! I had a really good time, but the first night I was there I had a little encounter.

I didn't even tell her about it, because she's on the fence about those things. Sometimes she feels they're angels, other times she feels it's the devil trying to mess with her. Anyway, I slept in the room her late husband used for his TV room, and he spent most of his waking time in there near the end. I settled down in bed and felt something brush my face, like wisps of hair or a cobweb. I wiped my face and almost dozed back off when I felt it again.

This time I wiped my face, felt nothing, and then addressed him by name and said hello. It never happened again. When it brushed my face it wasn't in one spot, it felt like it trailed ever so gently on my right forehead, cheek and part of my neck and was moving right to left across my face. Didn't feel as substantial as a facial tissue, it was very faint. Nothing else happened while I was there, but it made me feel good that he stopped in to acknowledge that I was there. I hadn't seen my sister in almost 8 years.

I want to see The Conjuring also, but I think it wise to wait till we get back.

The person Dark was talking about having nightmares (just my personal opinion) I think he's just
spooked about going to The Palmer House.

Dark doesn't help any by telling him things going on in the building.

Poor fella is probably scared out of his mind.

It doesn't help that the construction has kicked things up a bit either.

Well I should try to go to bed now. They changed my schedule at work so now I'm up later.

Have a good one y'all.

Hey, Scribe!
Good to see you back again.

I'm really happy you had a chance to visit your sister. That's a long time to go without seeing family!
I feel like it was her deceased husband acknowledging you, also. That's really cool!

I know that place where you work is haunted. I get really strong feelings of not being alone when I've had to go there at night by myself! The feeling of being watched by unseen eyes is a little unnerving.

I have no idea where you are going ghost hunting at, but please don't go to a graveyard. I just saw a show, and read a thread on here recently, that said people shouldn't investigate graveyards because there are very evil spirits that hang around there... like demons! They can follow you home!
Wherever you go, don't forget to protect yourself and say a prayer before you begin! Good luck!

Let us know how it goes!

I get the feeling he is scared too... especially after watching that movie!

He probably WILL experience something at the Palmer House because his mind is going to be "ripe" for it!

I hope he makes it out of there with some sanity left.
If he isn't used to experiencing the paranormal, he is in for a wild ride, indeed!

I hope a negative entity/spirit doesn't take advantage of his fragile state!

Hey Everyone! Great thread, I'm a long time visitor to ATS but only just created an account due to some incredible photos a friend of mine took a few weeks ago. But because of the 20 post rule I can't start my thread just yet...lol.
So instead I thought I might tell you about a few things my family and myself have experienced, as we too fall into the same category of people who seem to attract (or are possibly more susceptible to) strange/paranormal happenings. I've loved reading some of your accounts and this is the reason I've lurked on ATS for so long, it's comforting to know there are people out there who have experienced similar things and don't roll their eyes when you tell them about your weird past haha.

So bare with me while I share my families story of the strange.

My mother was raised with 4 other siblings in an incredibly remote and isolated place called Utopia, in Northern Queensland during the 1960s. It was untouched, pristine, ancient land and from the stories my uncles and her have told me it was like paradise, hence the name.
They lived in an old homestead surrounded by dense rainforest, gullys and creeks, with their nearest neighbours miles away. This place was very old, my mum and uncles had found numerous aboriginal cave paintings hidden away in dense scrub and there were certain places they wouldn't go due to "bad feelings" they would get. One place was a beautiful watering hole with a massive white stone slab, they would walk miles out of their way to avoid this place as they felt the energy there was very bad, to the point they thought the land would swallow them up. When they talk about this they always relate it the story of Picnic at Hanging Rock, a famous Australian story where a couple of young girls were playing in an ancient aboriginal gorge and vanished off the face of the Earth.

They would often visit neighbour's together, but because of how remote they were it meant long walks through the bush to get there and back. They had their first encounter with "the little hairy men" one night when they were returning home from a friends place a few miles away. On the way home they had to climb over a sort of natural Rock wall on the path, you could go around it by walking 10-20 meters into the scrub or just scale it. My uncle John was the oldest and would climb over then reach his arm down and pull the next person over. He pulled my mum and my uncle Alex over the wall, then reached his hand down to grab Parn, the youngest of my uncles. Uncle John felt a hand grab him firmly from the other side of the wall and yank at him just as Parn crashed through the scrub, not wanting to be left on the other side of the wall. When John realized that the hand on the other side wasn't Parn my mum and uncles freaked out and bolted home. The "thing that grabbed me" as he calls it was incredibly strong with coarse hair up its arm.

Uncle John had another incident in the homestead which he never spoke about to anyone... my mum and uncles were in their teens during their time in Utopia, and one night had left uncle John at home and taken the car out with my grandma into town which was a fair trip. When they returned home my uncle, a 6'5 monster of a man even at 17, was hysterical, crying and hiding in the living room. He wouldn't say what was wrong and refused to leave the living room, claiming "it wanted to take me" over and over again until he fell asleep in my grandma's arms. He has never spoken about what happened, but my mum, uncles and grandma have told us about it...
But that wasn't the first weird thing they had seen or heard in their old house. Almost everyone that stayed in their house claimed to have heard or seen things, the most common reoccurring thing was an old couple who would stand at the stove before vanishing, and the sound of an old wooden train or toy that would move from room to room.
There was also a room in the house that men couldn't sleep in, women could sleep in there with no problem, but no man could bare that room and the bad energy in it.

My mum and uncles witnessed orbs so many times while growing up in Utopia that they became normal to them, they would follow them sometimes on their walks home slowly moving above the canopy, like a guide. Other times they chased them, then disappeared, reappearing only to disappear again. Like most of the things they saw they attributed it to the land and aboriginal spirits they felt dwelled there.

Once they left Utopia the weird things stopped, but 20 years later my uncle Alex, my mum and my dad sailed to Antarctica on a yacht... where they again saw orbs, but it was so profound for my mum that she still talks about it with a sort of love, or reverence. As they got closer to Antarctica, during the night their yacht was paced by balls of light in the water, they would stay submerged and follow for a few minutes before diving deep out of sight at crazy speeds.

Bored yet?

I'm next, thanks for reading so far

Welcome to ATS, ZZ!
And thank you for posting on my thread!
Those are some awesome stories you shared.

I will have to keep my eyes open for your thread.

I would comment more, but I am in a hurry to leave. I'll try to comment more when I get home, if I have time. I'm going to put together another thread, and it may take what spare time I have.

Just know I appreciate you sharing here.

I had a ghost follow me around from age six until my late teens, channeled spirits, seen UFOs (close), had an object materialize from thin air in front of my face, and had a monster of some kind over 8 ft. tall walk past my bathroom window during my lifetime. I am now 54 years old. Until now I had no way of communicating with others about all these strange occurrences, but thanks to ATS, I can now ask the question, "Are there others who experience more than one type of paranormal phenomena, or am I just a paranormal magnet?"

I know this thread is pretty old. But I wanted to comment on your "paranormal" experiences. Do you ever ask yourself why you see these things so often when most folks never seen it and think you're crazy? What makes you different?

It all boils down to two things:

1. Your previous spiritual training in your past lives.
2. Your third eye is already open but you don't know how to control it.

Both of these things go hand and hand. Because of your spiritual training in the past, your third eye is already open and you see all kinds of stuff from the Astral Plane. Your mind is already open to these things, you just forgotten a lot of it. Despite your brain's amnesia, your soul does record all things you did in the past over your previous lives. Because your mind is open to the entities of the Emotional Plane (or Astral), you can see them without thinking much about it. When you don't control your six sense, it goes haywire, seeing stuff that is way beyond your imagination. Because reality in the higher planes is the real stuff. The things you see here in the Physical Earth is unreality or an illusion. The beings in the Astral are also more attracted to spiritual people.

How do I know these things? Because I speak through experience. For example, I have seen beings from the Astral that shape-shift--they look beautiful one moment, the next they look like a hideous monster from hell. They hide their true self really well. As mentioned in other threads, the Emotional Plane is very close to the Physical. So we see them with ease, if you have some semblance of spirituality. However, as you continue your spiritual training and raise your mind to higher and higher levels, you will start seeing beings from the Mental Plane, which is right next to the Emotional Plane. Next to the Mental, is the Identity Plane. Beings from these higher planes have more of the Light of God, and therefore look more pleasant and not out to get you. Lower beings are usually hellbent on killing and dragging you to where they are. So you see why so many people see more demonic beings than benevolent?

What I'm getting here is that humankind should get more spiritual by training their minds and consciousness to hold pleasant thoughts, stay away from anger, or any idea of negativity. Because these things will unbalance your Emotional and Mental states. It is SO IMPORTANT that people do this. That is why we are here...to train ourselves. You MUST balance your mind, and everything will be changed for the better.

With that, I have personally evolved from seeing and meeting really ugly demonic creatures from hell and outer space to Angels and Masters whom have taught me so many things! I have worked all the way to meeting and merging with my Higher Self as well! Who is this Higher Self? It is YOU, the perfect YOU in the future who is currently in the Spiritual Realm or Heaven (right above the Identity Plane mentioned earlier), trying to teach you about ascending yourself. It is also called God or Father in many religions. Everybody has a Higher Self. Get to work, meet your Father in Heaven today.

That is why I told him not to watch it until after we go..lol
I knew it would spook him.

The last thing I want is for people to be scared when we go,
it draws bad things to you, as they are attracted by fear.

I want to see it too, but I agree we should wait until after we go.

Spirits don't scare me unless they give off bad vibes, creepy I can handle.
Spirit contact is always a bit creepy at first,
until you figure out what is going on.

But you know that already.

Hi Scribe!

Awesome with the "ghost" hunt!
Keep us informed on that, I would really like to hear about it when you are done!
Can't wit to do that myself

It is funny how some family reacts to these kinds of things sometimes. I've had everything from my tarot being burned to full on encouragement and everything in between with my family. I come from a very spiritual family with mostly missionaries although my mom says my grandfather was a dowser on her side. I guess he used to find oil and natural water wells up in Alaska using dowsing rods.

I offered him a piece of tourmaline but he refused it saying he doesn't want to use anything that might keep spirits away while we are there. I think he misunderstands what it is supposed to do, but he is all for experiencing something while we are there. I think he might be getting more than he is asking for though...lol

I'll bring some sage just so we can cleanse before we leave.

This is one of the things I'm talking about when I said control your mind and thoughts. Don't expose your mind to horror or violent movies, pictures, themes, thought patterns, and any speck of darkness or negativity. This will attract negative entities to you and therefore you will see them very often. Also, it is important to control your emotions. Always strive for the middle way. This means try to not have mood swings. Don't be too sad or depressed nor should you be too happy as well. Happiness is all fine. But when you go to the extreme like partying, going to heavy metal or rock concerts, drinking and revelry, or go bungee jumping. People say you should take everything into moderation. There is more truth to this than you think. Temptations are all around you every second of the day to make your mind change from the middle way. Keep working on it.

I have gone through all of this before. So I know exactly what the training entails if you want to stop the demons from invading your life. In the beginning of training, it is also important to perform prayer and meditation by talking to your Higher Self or God. This will establish a connection that will slowly but surely raise your mind to God's level. If you raise your mind high enough, the ghosts and demons will even respect you and not try to haunt you but will salute you! You say, is that possible? Oh yes, they can read your mind very easily. Can you read their mind?
