Yet fervent support for Iran, who can do no wrong, continues.

What a great country, where you can be sentenced to execution for not following a prescribed set of beliefs. Hopefully the execution order can be overturned/stopped in some way.

just to say - i am completely anti-war. that does not mean i think the iranian regime is some sort of gleaming light of peace in the middle east, it is a brutal and outdated country which its own people are sick of.

Yep. Sounds about right.

His first option was to convert back to Islam. When he refused, he was asked to declare Muhammad a prophet, and still he declined.

But to note, it seems he did choose death. Kinda his own fault.

No, he chose his faith over their threats. I know that it may be difficult for some to believe (especially here on ATS) but to some of us, faith is something we'd die for. Shame he's probably a literalist Christian though, because that'll mean that he'll die never knowing the truth.
