BTW i would've kicked him in the face for ruining my day at Disneyland. Anyone who feels bad for this scum bag is an idiot. Like the woman in the video said there's children there. Go take that BS to a bar

like the house of blues and their 22oz tallboy cans of beer at disney in CA?

If you can't enjoy a beer responsibly, don't drink it at Disney.

i dont drink at disney myself, its lame and its for kids.

the sunset strip is a half hour north and thats where the big kids play and i would recommend that to anyone that wants to have a good time and drink in north orange or la county area.

if you wanna play games and drink? just go to dave and busters
especially on UFC night WOO WOO !!

a group of vacationing adults filming a drunk being pepper sprayed and yelling isint really what disney is designed for. its for kids and their family. that video was like a jerry springer show complete with the trashy audience.

they should all grow up.. everyone in the video.

disney deserves some flack for not having proper security to protect the actual "kids" that are there from irresponsible adults like this. what if someone pulled a knife or a gun during the scuffle ..
tsa all over the airports . but a vacation spot for millions of kids does not have proper security.
this is our world

I love the way people on this site ASSUME things at face value? We didn't see the very start of this incident. Maybe the man had medical issues? Diabetics that don't get their insulin can react violently? Did any of you SEE the man drinking alcohol? No, you didn't, and that's why you can't pass judgement, He was NOT being agressive standing there wiping his eyes from the tear gas? The guard provoked him further by spraying him again! And, if that was me, and is was a medical condition that caused this, the guy that had his knee on my neck, would be in a body bag as soon as I found out who he was. You so called "street heros" better think about that scenario before acting in the public interest!

O.K....

i have looked everywhere..

you cannot drink at Disneyland..BUT..

Although alcohol is not severed to the general public in Disneyland there is a private club called Club 33 in Disneyland that does. Unless you are a member or a guest of a member then you will not be able to go there however. If you are interested in becoming a member there is up to an 11 year wiat. California Adventures has a restaurant that serves wine and also, for a price, offers wine tasting. There is no hard liquor served there and the wine listing is limited to California wines (I enjoyed them the last time I was there). Downtown Disney has several restaurants that serve alcohol and it is also available at the Disneyland hotels as well.

so we still don't know why this started...

some of you have stated that maybe he was on meds..

or diabetic...who knows...

I am searching for more details...

none so far...

Based on the woman in the background, they are at Disneyland, and there are children there. I never would have thought of it. This is groundbreaking information.

I mean like, she says "There are kids here, does this guy not get that?" The amount of times you said it, if he doesn't get it, he must be deaf or really drunk, and i mean really drunk.

Anyway, I don't think the cop should have sprayed him again. A taser would have been better, it would have avoided a lot of confrontation. Usually, I don't go for the taser wielding cops, but in this case it would have been called for.

Does anybody else think that the woman who was shouting all the time was actually getting off on watching the whole event in a sick kind of entertainment way, while pretending to be offended?

In fact weren't those guys that were filming it also enjoying it that way?

That was my greatest impression, and not so much the guy who was drunk. A sad drunk you expect, but a warped society won't sober up so quickly.

Do the people talking about the kids at disneyland really think that tasering is suitable for children to see? I mean seeing a man screaming and then maybe see him crap or urinate on the ground?

Where has the common sense of the average citizen gone...

If someone wants to test "Disney Police Department", I've always found it amusing to catch a glimpse of. I've personally seen two confrontations in a Disney park in my visits and they both went about the same way. By the time I even realized something was amiss, there were security coming from places I didn't even think doors existed and the whole thing just disappeared with everyone involved, just as quick as it started. Almost spooky.. lol.

Disney Cops are going to be MUCH more aggressive than any normal street cop. They have to be, and it IS pretty much written right into their job description. It isn't enough for them to simply catch the bad guy and never lose a confrontation. Ever. That's what every other cop has to do...and that's the easy part.

Disney Cops are expected to do all that without the public in the park ever seeing a thing or even being aware a problem ever happened right around the corner or across the store. I really do respect those guys. Talk about doing the impossible with nothing.

I could only watch the video halfway through.
That yelling female annoyed the hell out of me, as well as the woman yelling “there are kids here”.
In a case as such, anyone should immediately remove kids and take them away from this, as far as possible.
I honestly can’t decide which was worse, the guy or the public.

It is almost impossible to point out the cause of this guy’s reaction.
He seemed intoxicated, but who knows, maybe he had a medical condition.
It is surprising that in this situation at a place like Disney land, there is no adequate security, nor medical assistance at hand.
The “security” guard was obviously unqualified and too weak to handle the situation, and obviously made too much use of the pepper spray.
It seems to me that this guy was a member of the military, judging by his haircut and dog tags.

Even though he seemed to be by himself, I do not find this suspicious, mainly because it is not a children’s playground, it is an amusement park for adults as well. So, why not?
We (as a society) should not be so darn paranoid!

You said it! The sound of that woman's voice makes me cringe. If she's married, I feel sorry for her husband. I don't know what that guy did, and maybe he deserved to be held on the ground, but that guy with the pepper spray was a douche bag. He thought he was all big and bad spraying him every chance he got. When the guy was just standing there, there was no need to keep spraying him in the face. I don't blame the man for trying to attack Mr. pepper spray. I would've attacked him too.

Oh and another thing, the people kept saying he's probably drunk, but at the end of the video it shows the girl with a beer in her hand. I don't know if it was the same annoying woman screaming "their are children here" but either way, if that ANNOYING woman was so offended, she should've left. All of the drunk college kids were enjoying the show. What a sick world. I was more offended by the stupid woman yelling. I think she needed a smack in the face to shut her up.

Okay okay okay... The drunk guy punched the guard in the face...

Then the guard sprayed the drunk guys eyeballs out with pepper spray...

I would say they were both even at that point... So why did the guard pepper spray him for standing up and catching his breath?

I have NO idea! I'd say I'm on the drunk guys side for that reason. You shouldn't keep provoking a situation once it is apprently handled, all the guard had to do at that point was make sure he didn't go anywhere until the police showed up.

Right?

I will tell you why the guard kept spraying, you get in a fight and you knock down your very aggressive opponent and what do you know......he gets back up for round two when you are not looking.

Listen to me here please, If you have a pissed up aggressive person around kids and old folks you do not fool around. Its like the gun rule, if you pull it you better be able to use it and I say great job in putting a Yob on his ass and keeping him there.

I hope the ass got his and then some, sorry for coming across as gung ho kill them all but that fellow had it coming and had it coming big time.

We have a few bars here in town where if he pulled that crap they would be pulling the river for him the next day and I kid you not.
Regards, Iwinder

Where exactly did you see the guy coming back for "round 2"? He looked pretty effed up at that point and just wanted to be left alone. Violence doesn't always solve everything you know!

"Where exactly did you see the guy coming back for "round 2"? He looked pretty effed up at that point and just wanted to be left alone. Violence doesn't always solve everything you know!"

He was down then when he got the chance he went right at the security guy and would have gotten him too if he could see.

Please keep in mind that Disney is a place for children and families and that guy was very obviously pissed up looking for trouble.

I appreciate your opinion and my opinion is that Violence in this case did the job and did it well, a spray of pepper to the face is better than having innocents attacked at a once in a lifetime vacation.
I don't really think pepper spray is that "Violent" versus what the guy was trying to do and that was fist to the face sort of attack he was doing.

Ever wonder why they don't serve alcohol beverages there in Disney?

This video explains why there are bars/pubs but not at Disney.....
And I am aware there is one private club at Disney that does indeed sell booze but you have to be somebody to get in and you will never get a buzz going as they limit the drinks big time...
Next closest bar/pub is hours away as it will take that long just to leave the park.....

All in all a drunk got his, but at the same time ruined peoples day there whom happened to witness his stupid antics.

Regards, Iwinder

I totally didn't see him go for round 2 once he got up the only reason he punched the guard in the face again was because the guard went up to him and sprayed him AGAIN!

I do agree with you that he shouldn't have been at disneyland etc... But I don't agree with you that it was handled the right way.

Ok I am fine with your opinion, could you please tell us all how you would handle this situation?
I used to be a bell hop at Holiday inn and let me say this, I wish to hell I had pepper spray back in the 70's as it would have saved my ass many times from drunk party goers in the hotel.

Room Service was a nightmare on holiday weekends and sporting events, I got attacked more times then I wish to recall just because they were drunk and not from our city here.

Well are you asking ME how I would handle it personally? Or how I would handle it if I were some 50 year old out of shape guy?
